Thanks OP, heat from me. Do these sims have a use by date? Thinking about buying one to use in 10 months time as a data sim while on holiday. Thanks

No expiry date is printed on the sim but sim number. These don't have top-up cards included which usually have expiry dates. However, Most unused sim cards usually only last about 6-12 months before the number gets recycled on most networks. I wouldn't risk buying so too far in future that long since you don't know how long the resellers have had them in their stock inventory. Something like 3+ months is fine but I wouldn't leave it far too long in the future.
I've got a 1gb spot data three SIM from 2012. These SIM cards sometimes go to curry shops and can be on the shelf for years so they never expire

Yes, it can, I used in San Francisco, Los Angeles in December last to January blah blah in Carlifornia, but the bandwidth was so throttled that it was just good to use Apps like UBer, email and social networking. I didn't even manage to use more than 2x 200 MB as I had use of Wi-Fi. No chance in hell you can even use 1GB for What I had used it US, for which I paid £10 for 1GB to use in a month. I had a 1GB Trio , and just managed to use 200MB of this, then another 200 MB of a Data Reward Sim, just about used 150MB. See here as example blog.danpoltawski.co.uk/201…ce/

Alternative is can get 12GB active for 12 months (vs 30 days for this deal) for £25 from MyMemory. But that doesn't have any min/text.
