Just back from a break at Vauxhall (Gt Yarmouth) -great places (Especially for kids ) , also have been to Cherry Tree , California Cliffs , Southview and Breydon water in the last couple of years . As good as and similar to Haven for facilities and entertainment . Of course the standard of caravan is you get what you pay for (or upgrade to) .
Don't know if this is like the newspaper promotions where you have to pay extra for entertainment passes and service charges ? On the ones we've been to they were included as were the bed linen (ready made up for you ) .

No where near as good as Haven for facilities like pools etc , but good decent parks with good night entertainment , we go once or twice a year

Are entertainment passes included

The fine print did not say the passes are included, there might be service and bed linen charges too, which would make it not much different as booking direct, also most of their parks seem to have bad reviews in trip advisor, not sure if they are any good.

Cherry Tree (Burgh Castle) was originally parkdean, became Haven for 5-6 years and has now reverted back to Parkdean. Facilities therefore same as Haven!!

Haven are a bit more upmarket compared to parkdene but they should be as haven are way more expensive, had a nosey at cherry tree last week it's not been updated for a while by the look of it , still looked a nice park just a bit dated , I was staying at breydon water, go down road to haven Seaside or hopton and it's a lot smarter with much bigger pools with big slides for example

Do we need to pay extra for entertainment pass, service charge and bed linen? Please recommend a good park in either Devon or Dorset.

Haven and Parkdean have medium and large sites - look on their websites to see what the facilities are and what to expect from the various grades of caravan . We've been to most along the east coast from Essex to Yorkshire . The larger parks have more facilities, bigger pools etc but that is the same whether Parkdean or Haven - Remove the signs and you wouldn't know if it was a Haven or Parkdean (formerly Park resorts ) site , both are excellent (though a bit pricey on the beer and food :disappointed:
