Emirates have launched a UK sale with some reasonable prices for what is a top quality airline. New Zealand flights are around £700 for flights unil 20/6/18 ( but expire in 9 hours time ). Bangkok for £499 for travel up to 15/8/18. Beijing £529 and some places I really wouldn't travel to. These prices are from Manchester but othe Emirates served UK airports are included.

Forgot to mention. Kabul and the Seychelles are both £719. Not sure which is the more attractive holiday destination at the same price.

Ha I'm sure you're just joking but if I was given the choice I'd probably pick Kabul. There's a lot of history and culture to Afghanistan, and the scenery outside the capital is beautiful. I'd personally go just for the food! As long as you're sensible and don't do anything to offend I think you can have a really eye opening time in Afghanistan.

One of the worse airlines I have ever travelled on. Great when things go well. Totally useless customer service when they don't. Plane crashed too as I recall, with a fire fighter killed a year or so ago. Think I will continue to avoid

I would agree.. Generally good , until things go wrong - then no one seems to care. Also the customer services at emirates airport is poor. None of the airport staff seem to know english or are inclined to help. The customer services kiosk is at one end and walking all the way for some help especially when pregnant or disabled is a nightmare..

Always travel with them, never had a issue with them. Can’t expect business class service on a economy seat!

Best airline by far, no complaints whatsoever with them... BA on the other hand... yeah let's leave it at that.
Yes they're pricier than your other airlines but completely worth it, just can't afford business class.

I have found the same before, but when tried to actually book them the prices goes up before let's you pay.
Always ended up booking direct with Emirates in the end.

Been checking prices with Emirates for Manchester to Bangkok for a few weeks now for end of April and the 'sale' price is actually £1 more than it was last week. Went last year similar time for £400. For what it's worth the flights themselves with Emirates are usually ok but the transfer in Dubai can be a nightmare, they have got too big too quick so often the plane stops at a remote stand and you then have to take a bus and a train to the terminal once you have landed and then another bus to get the connection. As mentioned Emirates ground staff can very rude and have no customer service skills whatsoever.

In addition to the above remarks about the service unwinding when things go wrong, I have to add that things are more likely to go wrong when transfering through DXB in the winter, rain and fog can conspire to make an already badly designed and over crowded airport almost unuseable. Direct flights not involving the middle east are always preferable IMHO. However if you do have to fly with Emirates, once you're off the ground the're pretty good.
