Great price. So close to buying it! Been following the thread on the rcgroups forum, and there are a couple of issues, one of the worst concerning the tilted horizon visible on the videos, and seems to be unsolvable. But there are reports that DJI's do suffer from this too, although probably less so. At this price there really isn't anything close, but factor in 2 more batteries so maybe another £100.

Yeah but the eBay sellers are chancers, importing them and doubling the price. It is a cracking price, but no warranty outside China.

Have been tempted by this for a while. Was a bit concerned it may be confiscated by customs as not CE marked but seems to be a non issue.

What is the law on flying/filming with these? Are they quite easy to fly?

These have GPS built in with no-fly-zones around airports, prisons etc. As it stands if you're flying recreationally, and receiving no payment, then it's perfectly legal and fine to fly about filming. Don't be looking in people's windows, or filming people sunbathing in their gardens to be safe. IF you plan on making any money from your drone (including YouTube videos) you'll need CAA accreditation, and public liability insurance. You also have to have the drone in sight at all times. Thats to the best of my knowledge and research, I'm no expert.
Flying wise, they're pretty simple. Self levelling, and in beginner mode they limit the speed and height you can travel.

You should really have public liability whether using commercially or not.
For a drone like this that can record video or stills the following applies-
The drone must always be kept in sight, and must be flown no higher than 400ft (122.9m), or further than 500m away.
Drone users should not fly near airports or other aircraft.
They should keep at least 50m away from people, vehicles, vessels, buildings or structures, unless these are “under the control” of the drone pilot.
The drone pilot should not fly over or within 150m of a congested area or large gathering of people.
They should also get permission from the landowner of wherever they take off and land.
-------
The drones are easy to fly but you need to be aware of your surroundings. Most crashes happen when your too busy filming and mis judge the height of a tree or building.
Occasionally things do go wrong, compass errors, GPS errors, disconnections which may knock aircraft into Attitude mode. In this state return to home will not function and aircraft may drift in wind. You need to know how to fly manually and get it back you and landed safely.

Bought 1 month before £331 and paid £17 parcel force for custom clearing. Great drone and happy. Well have some issue with compass calibration but lots of video for in YouTube for that. Much better then p3 . Almost half of the price of p4.
