I've given it heat for the price even though it looks more like a halogen oven and if that's what it is, its still a good deal. There is/was another post on HUKD claiming the same thing i.e. an air fryer which looked like a halogen oven.
But I think there are some mistakes in Argos' description e.g it can cook 17kg of food!! But its only 17 L capacity!?!? That's nearly 40 lbs!! It only goes up to 65C!! It would take ages to cook anything at that temperature!! Halogen ovens usually cook up to 230C.

Are these the healthy way to cook by using less fat.... or maybe not Is fat really bad for you.... and should we seek to always remove it from our foods....or maybe not Are all fats unhealthy... and does eating fat make you fat... or maybe not
Is a low fat diet..... better for your health....that a low carb but a higher fat one... or maybe not Fat vs Sugars.......which one should be higher or lower in our diet to be really healthy

17kg food capacity? 17l oil capacity? What? Am I missing something. This seems odd.

Just thinking the same thing. 17kg/17L of oil? ...they tend to have a 12L capacity, with a 5L extender ring, so 17L capacity.
You MAY wanna consider the HINGED LID option, over having to remove the lid, and placing it on a stand, but I'm not sure how the capacity (extender ring) would work?
It's a Halogen, exactly the same as is on my counter at the moment, just a different "Name". As for the price, it seems to be the norm. I've had 2 replacements to date, due to failures in the PLASTIC parts (Cradle split on the 1st machine, as it was withdrawn from the box via the handle for the 1st time, then the Timer switch split on the second) BOTH with the SALTER badge.
TBF, A1 CS from Robert Dyas on the 1st replacement, and if I was able to prove purchase (couldn't as it was a CASH purchase, and a gift) they would have done so for the 2nd, even after 2+ years. The 2nd was replaced by the manufacturer without fuss. The Daewoo looks to have replaced the Salter at "RD"
This powerful Daewoo 12 Litre Halogen Oven is a revolutionary way to cook whole meals quickly, easily and healthily. The combination of a carbon heating bulb and a built-in fan to circulate the air evenly gives you perfectly cooked, succulent food that's cooked far quicker than in a conventional oven.
It includes an oil spray for lighter, healthier cooking, with two heating racks for cooking different foods at the same time without the need for extra pots and pans.
Efficient and thorough heating thanks to the halogen carbon bulb and fan induction design.
With its clever self-cleaning function you can sit back and relax after dinner with the family.
