Thanks for the advice. I'll give it a go but am aware the customer service team can be quite difficult :fearful:

You need to speak to three live chat complaints department. I was on 30gb 200 minutes (I know it's less) and unlimited texts for £10 a month on a rolling contract...

I very much doubt it. My account may be a one off, as I'm actually on a better deal than the above now... For the same £10 a month...

Everyone apart from me seems to be getting these deals now
Not sure what else I can do?! As thebestrc said, they're not giving anything away lightly... I've been on the phone this week AND Live Chat. No joy with either. It's not me, usually I ace CS exchanges! I think you just need to persevere and hope you get a willing adviser.
I've got my PAC now but I might still try and get this tomorrow. Advanced Plan yeah? I do need that.
It helps if you have links though, something to reference. Is there a link for the EE deal that the OP references? Heat for the deal, and good luck if you're still trying. I'd be interested to hear any tips etc. I got nowhere on the Live Chat, they just tell you to call 333 and get the best deal etc. Well they did for me anyway.

If you get your pac code, it doesn't actually do anything unless you were to actually use it with another provider right?
Postcard to kevyn
11 Aug 17#18
Correct. The PAC expires after 30 days if not used with another provider.

11 Aug 17#30
Yikes, I asked for PAC code as a bit of a bluff and they've sent me out a personalised, pre-paid envelope to send my Home Signal box back in... should I disregard that too or should I get onto them and let them know that I'm staying put?
Top link is for data only link to a newspaper article. Second link is to the EE shop and got nothing to do with the deal mentioned. So how are these supposed to convince 3?

I was offered a similar deal before leaving Three and it excluded tethering so ruled it out for me. However great deal if you're not bothered about using your phone as a hotspot.
is this the Advanced plan, waiting for my contract to end to get better price as my plan was 24 when i got it , now 20 but have to wait one month before end of contract so in October

Cold, sorry. Not really a deal when it's down to the luck of who you speak to at cancellations... as someone mentioned above, they were only offered the packages on the website. Hit or miss really.

And back to the deal, can anyone confirm any successes today? Thinking back, I might have been offered this on the phone; but without tethering or Feel at Home - so basically an Essential plan :persevere:

I got this deal yesterday, It's essential plan.
I went with this deal yesterday over BT mobile because they offered more data. But they don't have tethering, or free roaming in USA and other few countries.
This is how I got this deal.
My contract has finished so I was on rolling contract. So I called 333. And ordered pack code day before yesterday and Then called yesterday and I told the advisor to " put me through to cancellation team because they told me call back with website link of BT mobile offering 16gb,unlimited calls and texts for £16"
And then they the cancellation advisor told me "we have this exception plan which we can offer you essential plan 30gb, unlimited calls and texts for £15".
Hope this helps.

I was at the end of my contract, so rang and asked for my pac code, spoke to a lady who asked what network and deal i was going to and i said EE deal i can get thru work, 16 quid for 20gb unlim min/text. She spent about 15 minutes arguing with me their deals were better but didn't offer me this 30gb 1. Finally got her to put me thru to cancelations and the guy asked me the same question, what deal and network i was leaving for and then offered me this 30gb deal straight away

Had three incredibly frustrating conversations on live chat this morning, trying to get this deal. All disconnected me just when I seemed to be getting somewhere... Gave up and rang to cancel. At the last minute retentions offered me the above deal but it was only on the essential plan. I said I would take it if he could do it on advanced with Go Binge for same price (£15). He said no. I now have my PAC.
Logged in to My3 and took additional line offer of Advanced 30gb, unlimited calls and texts and Go Binge for £18pm. Seems a better deal for me. Shame I didn't come to that conclusion before wasting so much time pulling teeth! Will port out number to a PAYG sim with another provider then port back in.

Tried similar deal before retention department will do deal based on your average usage, example: I been on 4GB data (used on average 3GB only) per month and asked to match the other company deal - no way I had deal with more data for less as the guy told me that I don't use it anyway therefore I have left 3 Network. The deal is not available for everyone as it's exactly the same as my EE deal - £20.99 (including VAT) per month for iPhone 7 Plus 32GB with 7GB data and the rest all unlimited!

A lot of people are unaware that Three have an essential and advanced plan, so when they see 30GB for such a small price they usually jump at it. Three used to be a leader in this for it's customers giving them all tethering and USA roaming as a perk of being a Three customer. Seems you now have to pony up just that little bit more to get the full monty from them. I am on advanced sim only just now as i bought my phone outright and never took an upgrade off them. So i get unlimited mins, texts and data + the USA roaming and 12GB tethering in the UK for £20 a month. Just be aware people that this is on the essential plan going in to the call.

I am tired of three now. I find it easier to sopcast Russian football streams on mobile data but just watched celtic tonight and I was left on 29.6 from 32 after the only stream working was a 6 mbps one might take the 60 with EE for 20 but locked in 2 years. Annoyed there's people on here with unlimited data for 15 three years grandfathered into the deal I can't get near that, with either company
