Is this to counter the VAT rise for having the sub toasted and taken out?

It always hacks me off that some stores charge extra to swap it for a salad. I know ta a franchise but at least be consistent

They said I had to pay extra for having a bottle of water instead of a fizzy drink, crazy right? I mean seriously I brought a large drink and then told no the water will be 20p more

Well yeah, bringing a large drink to a Subway doesn't mean you can take a water for nothing...
But seriously, of course they charge more for bottles rather than a fountain drink.. they cost more.

Is a £4 footlong £4 or will they charge extra to toast it?

I've never paid more for a toasted sandwich when it's part of a deal, same with sitting in vs taking away.. but it seems from the comments here that it can vary between franchises.

My local started a couple of weeks back, said it's due to tax regulations . The also stopped the £5 lunch deal. A footlong BMT with drink went from £5 to £6.60 if I wanted it toasted.

Subway franchises have different prices in different stores in London. If I go to a busy store, they do not honour any offer and are very greedy on expensive ingredients and I have to keep on asking for more when they add ingredients . But those which are not in busy area honour all deals and not greedy. So their prices and quality is very inconsistent unlike MacDonald's which have same price s and quality everywhere in London.

Please note these vouchers will only open in the Chrome browser, they do not work on Google as discovered in a local branch when both myself & the staff were unable to find the website or link

I have never been charged extra for having the salad option instead of the sandwich? Trying it on. States price same for bread, salad or wrap.

Cold. None of West Lothian branches accepting any of these vouchers. Showed them T&C and participating stores and they have no idea what is it..
