I got rejected, to be fair my credit rating is non existent but did get offered a 6gb 4g data plan 1 month rolling contract for £7 a month unlimited text and calls so worked out alright

You can send the phone back direct to Sony for repair, you don't have to send it to virgin at all.

Is there a possibility that you could sell the PS4 if you didn't want it, or would this cause issues if the phone had to go back for repair?

I can only see that the PS4 needs to go back if you don't want the phone.

I stuck a freedom pop (Three) and ee (I know Virgin is EE anyway) and it seemed to allow both, both had signal and freedom pop told me I couldn't call the number (I've never yet managed a phone call with these.but text and data fine).

Can any pne confirm of the phone is unlocled or locled to virgin

I've had to ring up nearly everyday as they keep saying they don't have stock for a replacement, they think stock will be replenished today. So as soon as I get home I'll be ringing again.

Yikes. Was the box damaged when you opened it? Either way, get in touch with Virgin and get them to send a replacement unit.

Mine arrived today, thankfully with no screen issues. I wish it had a fingerprint sensor and was compatible with the PS4 Remote Play app (without having to tinker with the software), but those two gripes aside, it's a nice little mid-range phone.

Nobody else had this happen? Can't get it to work at all...

It's a physical copy but the game case is marked as not for resale.

I'm thinking of doing this deal to sell both items and get a ps4 pro but I have a good service with three currently and am wary of dipping into a 24month contract

Mine turned up today and it was extremely faulty. Screen kept going grey and static looking, wasn't functional at all. Have to wait til Monday for more info on a replacement as they apparently ran out of stock.

Depends on your contract. I went for the cheapest deal so I'm expecting 1gb or 1.2gb. I'll be confirming that with customer service when I get a chance

Anyone purchasing this thinking after the contract ends that the tariff will remain at £1 be very careful, if you read the T&Cs the tariff increases annually by RPI, that means that if they raise by RPI or less then you cannot leave penalty free, however they could raise it by 500% but then you could leave penalty free, this happened with my unlimited everything tariff, basically they wanted me off the tariff so raised the price by £3 each year until it became uneconomical to stay on it, and each time I spoke to them they just said I could leave penalty free as per T&Cs

It's not a freebie though, it's part of your credit agreement with the phone, this price won't ever change. The only part of the contract you can leave is the SIM deal. And by doing this you have to pay up the what ever is owed on the phone/telly tablet.

The two items are seperate.....I`m thinking that if they do something which allows you to walk away from the phone contract you won`t be able to keep the "freebie" or phone as its a financed product you are buying outright

I maybe wrong but in the past when price rises or other stuff meant you could walk away from your contract penalty free you got to keep the phone

Even if you say RPI is going to average 5% over the next 10 years it would still only be around £1.70.

I deffo want more than 300MB if i get this offer but the wording above seems to imply the PS4 is only for the 300MB option. hmm. Anyone else had confirmation they gonna be sent one on the other tariffs?

Yes, £1 per month airtime with only annual RPI increases. That to me is the real bargain.

I pay Virgin £10 per month on SIM only 30 day 2500mins, 6gb data. It's £24 per month 24 month contract here i.e. £14 per month more, I calculate the hardware to be worth between £350-£400 so don't see this as attractive to tie up to a 24 month contract, or my missing something.

The DL speed is kind of irrelevant if the stability of the connection is woeful but that is personal experience and will never use again for myself. Had 2 years of monthly problems culminating in knowing the engineers names and mobile numbers!

I was thinking of selling the slim and buying a pro as I already have an original PS4 with a 2TB HDD so ideally I'd be looking at moving that into the lounge and putting a pro in the gaming room..

I managed to get 2500min and 2GB (not 6GB) of data for £21 after ringing them the other day, but I noticed that I missed out on the £45 Quidco.. So I just rang them and cancelled my order, ,then re-ordered it online using Quidco, I went for the 2500min with 6GB data for £24, works out a little more for the extra data overall but I'd rather have too much than not enough..

I am very tempted. How are Virgin as a mobile network?

Not to take any credit away from dave99461who found the offer first. I've been indecisive whether to buy it. Went to have a look today has quadruple data on the cheapest tariff.
All you have to do is order before midnight on Monday 4th September while stocks last.
Please be careful, it shows as £16 which is what I first saw but that's without the PS4!
