Does this depend on your internet for tv? Do you get all the free view channels or just the select few? The reason I ask is I don't have a coax at home

You're going to need at least an indoor aerial to watch live freeview. You get all the free to air freeview channels, including the sometimes hard to get Talking Pictures. If you don't have an aerial, you can use the apps to watch catch up TV from channels 1 to five and a lot more besides, but sadly the UK TV player is currently missing. A complete list of Now TV Apps can be found here.

If they'd kept plex available I'd have replaced all my streamers with these, I used to use nowTV boxes in every room as you could have 4 on an account and watch the movies on 2 at once so a single sub did the house. As I also use plex though I had to replace everything when they cut support, shame as nowTV itself is pretty cheap for what it is :disappointed:

I got one of these yesterday, mostly for the Freeview function. The Now TV stuff works as expected, but I was disappointed with how limited the TV guide and selector was. It also seems to struggle with weaker signals compared to a TV (a significant number of channels show "no signal"). I'm thinking of returning it to John Lewis.

I'm lucky to have strong signal where I am so that's great but I make you right the remote is limited as is the guide. I like the way though you can select Freeview and Nowtv channels from the guide button.

Managed to pick one up at £35 with the 4 month cinema pass from JL a few weeks ago thanks to HUKD so keep a look out for that. Sold the box for £25 so happy with what I paid for the pass.
