I've just upgraded from moto g4 and moto g5 is nothing better but even few things are worse like processor, battery. Shame!

I wouldn't say the G5 is worse. The screen is bigger on the G4 which will please some people but others will appreciate the smaller phone and higher pixel density of the G5.
The G4 has 4 cores at 1.5 Ghz and 4 at 1.2 GHz whereas the G5 has all 8 cores at 1.4 GHz and an upgraded GPU.

Only Moto G 4 Play's got 4 cores but Moto G 4 and Moto G 4 Plus got 8 cores

Read what I actually said. The G4 has 4 cores at 1.5 Ghz and 4 cores at 1.2 Ghz. That's 8 cores in total.

I've had this for 3 months. Crashes all the time. Awful battery. Fine other than that

If your phone crashes, get it to Motorola for warranty repair. They will sort it out. All electronic devices may fail or may be defective and hence the warranty, so use it.

It isn't an excellent phone for the price. The processor is weaker than it's predecessor and it doesn't have enough ram. This is why it's crashing.

Warranties are useless for this - I tried with my last phone (which was hard-resetting - I suspected a failing battery) but they pointed to a TINY mark on the case (I'd never seen it as it was inside the protective cover I used - the mark was likely from dirt moving inside the cover) and said "that's damage - get lost"

I've had a 3Gb G5 for a little longer than that and the phone itself has NEVER crashed - in-fact I don't think I've even rebooted it since I got it, I have NO idea what the boot animation looks like ;0
Battery is fine but you MUST enable auto screen brightness or keep the brightness slider low, the last 30% basically doubles the battery drain...
The charger is quite amazeballs - mine recharges from 15%->100% in under 2 hours but more usefully it goes from 15%>50% in 30mins

I have tried g5 and g4 plus. G4 plus is way better.

For this £, only 2GB RAM is not good value. Phones like the Huawei P8 Lite 2017 offer 3GB and were cheaper when sold by argos a few weeks ago.

doesn't have NFC either unlike the Plus, I went for the new E4 and must say it's a cracking phone for the money plus I can use Android Pay as it includes NFC

I've just moved from a G4 Play to the E4 Plus and must say very impressed with it. I'd assumed the E series was lower spec than the G based on previous gen phones, but this seems to be upgrades all round - 3GB / 16GB up from 1GB/16GB which helps improve performance. The battery is much bigger than normal at 5000mAh and does last well though needs the Fast Charger it comes with to charge in a sensible amount of time. It also makes the phone heavier but it now feels like a quality product and for about the same price as this deal for the G5
