Usual nonsense. It was the 3TB drives that experienced the real problems. Using several 8TB Seagate drives 24x7 with no issues.

Even the 3TB ones were only faulty from the China fabrication plant, mine (Thailand) have been running perfectly since day one, in a NAS with 1hour idle spindown time. Idle spin down is the important thing, consumer drives aren't built to be run 24/7, they need to sleep.

I'll say it again....every hard drive fails at some point.......all depends on the work load Tried them all.....stressed worked them hard.....ALL have failed....eventually....
Absolutely nothing technical last these days..... as EVERYTHING... is built to fail :cry:
