For anyone going on holiday finding the best exchange rate can be stressful and with the market conditions the way they are the rate for buying foreign currency is very very up and down. So phone or go into your local Debenhams and ask to save the current rate for 1 week max. This means you get that rate even if it drops by 20% anytime up till 7 days. I done this with dollars last week and since the dollar rate has dropped over 2 cents but I still get the higher rate. If it goes up phone them they will change it to the higher rate and you get 7 more days again. It's a great way not missing out on a unsure economy at the moment. Plus spend £50 or more on travel money also get £5 off a £20 spend in store that day only. As far as I'm aware no where else does this and I can't see it on Debenhams website it's not advertised in store ether but the last lady informed me of it. It's a shame I didn't know about it 3 weeks ago when the exchange rate was $1.30 as currently $1.24

I also use Revolut for the live exchange rate. But I'm pretty gutted that I didn't know about it sooner

I originally signed up to revoult but didnt want to pay to have a physical card and Monzo was free. The app, for me, is way nicer to use and they basically the same. I know Monzo uses Mascard Wholesale which I assume Revoult uses something similar. Eoither way, both fantastic cards to use while abroad

I originally paid for a card but argued and put a complaint in as it stated I needed to top up with £10 but could spend it. The refunded the £5

Its a shame you had to do that but at least you got it back  though the major downside to Monzo is that you need to load £100 to activate it....

Correcting the title. It has 'then' when it should be 'than'

Wow thanks for your help. I didn't realise it was that much of a issue.
