Does anyone know how much it costs to replace the cartridge and how many pages you get out of the initial one? Many thanks.

Depends on what you read - I've heard the starter toner is either 250 or 500 pages, and I've also seen toner carts between 1000 and 2500 pages (that might have been twin packs for £20 though).

Got mine for £25 a few days back. Its quite small form factor compared to other samsung laser printers I've had previously...quite shocked at the size of it. Tried a few prints last night and speed and quality of print is spot on. I've seen replacement toners for £10.99 on feebay and have read that they can do 1000 pages per toner.

Expect to pay £40 or thereabouts for a genuine Samsung one. Presumably higher capacity than the one supplied with the printer. Refilled toners and compatibles are £10-20 depending on where you buy.
Search for M-111 toner (or 111S or MLT-111)
The price seems to yo-yo. £25 earlier in the week was exceptional; It's often at £35. And it's also often at £50-60.
It's also £35 today at John Lewis with a 2 year guarantee (free C&C at JL or Waitrose; £3.50 home delivery), and doubtless the same price in other stores as well,

Is there a colour version? Looking for a decent laser printer for my Dad where the toner doesn't cost the Earth. I have the Dell 1760nw which is perfect but no longer available, anyone seen anything similar?

Thank you so much for responses to my earlier questions. I have clicked through the link for Amazon and read the description but can anyone confirm if this is compatible with an iPad as it doesn't have a usb port? So sorry but I really am a technophobe thanks in advance. Dailing that any recommendations

You'd need the 2026W with Wireless which has AirPrint support.

Missed out on that. It's reduced to £59.99 @ Argos with a £5 voucher thrown in. However I'm pretty happy using my windows pc as a wireless print server.
