Was looking for cheap hotel in central London for November. Noticed new premier Inn opening at Westminster abbey which has rooms for £40.50 for Fri night (Nov 3rd). Had a check and seems to be prices from Oct (assume this is when opens) from ~£40 or ~£65 for sat night. No reviews obviously but one at Westminster St James nearby scores well. Seems like a good cheap no frills central London option. Hope this helps someone!

Is this one of those hotels where the rooms don't have any windows?
Hot for the price anyway but if so not for me as I find them claustrophobic :-(

Oh my god. Is that a thing?! How is that even legal to not have a window incase of a fire?!

You've not been to the Manchester Britannia then? I walked into my room and noticed something was amiss.
No windows, I'm not even claustrophobic but it did make it seem you were staying in a prison cell.

Most hotels' evacuation plans don't involve being rescued out of the window and many are sealed shut anyway. Have stayed in inside cabins on cruise ships and been very comfortable. A hotel in a big city is just a place to sleep for me and these rooms look pretty smart for the price.

Stayed at Kings Cross Hub last week, It had 5-6 floors above ground level, these have either a view outside or into a "courtyard", and they also had 1-2 floors below ground level, these obviously wouldn't have a view. Great value for money, but only have double rooms, so had to leave kids with the in-laws  . View from my room:
