I thought this was a fairly decent deal for the best FPS in the past few years. If you purchase Rainbow Six Siege from Ubisoft, you will receive the full amount for your purchase back in store credit.
The going rate for this is around £15. So only around £1.80 more if you can muster up those Ubipoints. And you get the full amount back to spend between 7th - 14th September in the Ubistore. Maybe great towards a pre-order or other things on there.
You do the math...
*If you purchase Rainbow Six Siege “Standard”, “Year 2 Gold edition” or “Complete Edition”, you will receive 20,99£ in store credit. In case of a promo code usage, the store credit amount will reflect the amount paid by the user. Store credit will be in the form of a promo code that will be sent via email on September 7th. The store credit can be used on any item sold on Ubisoft Store during a 7 days period from the date of receipt of the email. It is a one-time use only code and no balance of unspent credit can be used on future purchases.
To grab it at the lower price, you'll need to redeem 100 Ubisoft points.

Oh, this offer runs until the 29th, so if you're not sure about Rainbow Six Siege. There is a free weekend happening on PC (as well as Xbox One and PS4) so you could try it out.

Nice deal mate. Heat added. But I thought the best shooter of last few years was The Division? :face_with_monocle:

Have you played The Division? I really don't get the hype with it at all. It's just an average shooting game even with the RPG elements, it's mind numbingly boring.

Tongue in cheek because he knows that's my exact opinion of it

Yes I did with the first expansion (underground). I did love it. It's just the feel the environment gives you whilst playing and trying to survive. In regards to Rainbow six, I've been teasing Buzz for ages, but it appears I've been successful every single time so far. :raised_hand:

So all sales will end and prices will go up due to the weak pound on the Ubisoft store on the 6th September? Got it, thanks for the heads up :relaxed:

Yeah, great game. Had it on disc a while back. If the Ubi store would let me buy a code for the Xbox digi version I'd buy it for this deal.

Operation health was a failure and they want people to buy in before the new season.
good deal though.

A failure? Le sigh... You sound like the, "nothing impresses us," subreddit. Here are some of the recent "OH" updates:
- One-step matchmaking (faster matchmaking) - Hitboxes on certain characters has been changed for the better, e.g. Blitz. - Brand new voice comms system (in-game) now rivals the quality of dedicated VOIPs like Discord, Mumble, etc. - A big patch to the Game files in order to make patching easier, quicker and easily rolled back, if need be. This change also reduced the overall size of the game. - Alpha packs were added to the game And more...
The two biggest upcoming changes to the game, are the ones everyone has been requesting, i.e. lighting and server performance. The former having been shown in screenshots, recently. While the latter has been on the test servers around 2 weeks ago with positive feedback. Also, there are map updates coming which will improve game performance, e.g. Kafe map has new texturing, lighting, etc.
There have been other updates made to the game, small and large. Could it be better? Of course it could! It would be silly to claim otherwise. But, while operation health hasn't been 100% successful, it certainly has made changes for the better.

And you sound like you spend le too much time on le 9gag le. Is the game still a jank fest, yes, is ping still a big deciding factor in who wins, yes.

The difference is, I follow the game and know what I'm talking about. The latest patch just made the lighting better for both defence and attackers. As for pings, it will always be troublesome in multiplayer games, but, that's no reason to single out Siege.

but its still a jank fest and i highlight the peakers advantage because it is more obvious in this game than most others, to the point it is an aspect of play style. I follow the game and still watch youtubers play it, i finished two seasons at Diamond, i just admit what the game its and the faults.
my original comment; "operation health was a failure and they want people to buy the game before the new season" - is the truth, there are still alot of problems, they are still patching problems and they always do these deals at the start of new seasons to get people to buy operators.

Anyone know if you buy this through steam (as it's 3rd party) you get the same deal if bought through uplay?
