Not voting cold but I would pay the extra £1
or so and go for Eneloops. Slight drop
in mAh rating but you know you're getting quality.

eneloops are really good but the ones that are 1 quid more are much lower (claimed) [email protected] 2000mah the comparable ones at 2500mah are 12.99

Duracell's would also be pretty decent but Enoloop's are more or less universally
regarded as being the best of the best. I've
had two sets of the 1900mAh and they've all charged over 2000 and I've had no
issues with them being significantly under capacity. You're best off investing in a smart charger
if you're buying quality batteries.
Ikea's Ladda batteries are also rumoured to be Enleoops, they're all
made in Japan - their white 2450's (mAh) are
supposed to be Eneloop pro's in disguise - cheap at £5.50.

Wasnt that back in about 2009 or maybe earlier when Duracell relented and started selling rechargeables?
1. the duracells are low self discharge , rs ones aren't 2. duracell is a decent brand, rs is erm... 3. you an only add rs batteries in blocks of 4 @ 8.32 extra each time - ie one pack costs 8.32
7.97 from amazon via prime which is better for some than marketplace

I don't believe you can. The pack price on RS is £8.32. The price of £2.08 is per battery not per pack. Admittedly the RS zones are 2600 mAh, however on pure price these are cheaper than the ones on RS

I've been using 2800 mah Energizer batteries for years, and they are a very reliable long lasting battery. Hundreds of recharges and still good

Better yet, get the Amazon Basics AA 2500mAh 8 pack for £13.99 or 4 pack for £7.97. Then if you're a student prime member get 15% extra off :smile:
