Would this be any use in a hotel room with intermittent signal!

They generally need to be able to receive a reasonable wifi signal before they can boost it. So if you position it in the one corner of the penthouse suite where you get good reception you should then be able to connect with ease everywhere else.

Thank you for advice, but what about a hotel where you have to pay for wifi. When on holiday etc,,?

You'd want the amplifier to have a good signal to amplify otherwise it's pointless improving speed at a distance. Regardless of the signal from your devices to the amplifier.

Shouldn't be a problem. Once the device is setup - you would use the web login as normal on your laptop or phone etc.
When my broadband instalIation was delayed I had to use something similar to this for a month to connect to my neighbours BT wifi hotspot using my login details via the BT web portal.

I was looking more that you could log in to the web portal within the router config. Then you could connect multiple devices to the router without having to individually connect each one. I know there's a few routers that have this option, not sure about this one though

Thank you for info, i have ordered anyway as its usb and small portable, for this price i cant grumble. Hotel we normally stay at when on hols only allows 2 devices at a time we have 4. something like this would get around this problem

It depends on how its set up as to whether it will work for more than 2 devices. If its just a pass through router then it will still be limited to 2 devices.

How good is this?
I was looking at a mesh system but if this works then could be a very cheap alternative

Can you connect this router to WiFi networks with a web login page (eg hotel wifi)?
