Nintendo have just put up their pre-orders for Pokemon Gold and Silver virtual Console games on the 3DS. Again these are Codes for the games in a Nintendo 3DS box, similar to the robot/toy Mario vs Donkey Kong games did it.
In japan they say that theirs will also come with some extra stuff, but im guessing that it wont at this price.
Anyway, This would be prefect for someone who wants to collect a physical-ish version for their collection, or jsut some really eager fans of the games.
Also, you get free delivery for orders over £20. Buying gold and silver will leave you at £17.98, so you will have to add something that is £2.02 or more to get free delivery.

I only picked the gold and silver games since its actually cheaper to get the ultra games from either Tesco,Amazon, Toy'r'us etc.

Prices are crazy expensive at Nintendo. The Dual Edition for 69 isn't bad but I've always bought both games in separate cases and I'm not strong enough to change that :joy: Going to get Gold and Silver from Nintendo though. Where's the cheapest for USUM?

The cheapest for normal ultrasun and Ultra moon is off of Toy'r'us. The game is £32.99 but using code 8086839990, you can get it down to £27.99
Tesco Direct would be the cheapest to get Ultra Sun Steelbook, with the £5 off £35 bringing it down to £33with free delivery. Ultra Moon on Tesco Direct has a staggering £7.95 delivery Charge on it. You can see the deal on HUKD here.
I was planning to use the £10 off £75 code when buying them both, but that extra £8 delivery ruins it.

Hardware is usually a decent price. But games are expensive.

Pokemon Gold was my first proper video game that I owned and oh boy is this tempting. I don't even own a 3DS (yet)

Be better if they released HGSS on Switch.

Ordered both, with a Yo Kai Watch medal pack for £2.99 to bring the order over £20. I'll open & use the code for Silver, and sell the code for Gold (keeping the box!). Nice little collectible

It's just a remake, as they do. Akin to Platinum. Seems like there's some changes. They've not really announced much just yet. If you know you'll like any Pokemon game I'd go for it. If you're looking for new content etc I wouldn't

It's the first Pokemon game I didn't entirely complete, and the first time I've not played through the second game after finishing the first. Great game, great game of the genre, but I didn't think it was an amazing Pokemon game. Might've been the lack of gyms that did it, I'm not sure! I'm looking to get back into them soon though, having that Pokemon itch.
I always get the new games so I'll be getting USUM but I do hope gyms are back. Seem to be if the trailer was anything to go by!

for sure be getting gold and silver. just played yellow which was fun. also tried some modded games, as X and Y were really good i tried neo X which is insane, and the dragonball mod version just for fun. gyms is a must, prob why i like gold so much as its almost like 2 games in 1 with both regions.

After watching the comparison side by side video, I think I will wait for Heart Gold and Soul Silver.

Nothing to wait for, you can play Heart Gold and Soul Silver on any DS, 3DS or 2DS console
This is more a throw back for the people who have been playing the Pokemon games since the original GameBoy.
As someone who played a badly translated Japanese Pokemon Gold years before it came out here as a kid, then imported Pokemon Gold from America as they got it ages before we did, i'm pretty excited to play this again and be able to trade Pokemon up to the current games via Pokebank.
