Delivering the ultimate screen for readability, the Kobo Aura features a high-res, low-glare E-Ink screen that reads just like print on paper, even in direct sunlight. Featuring a long battery life, 4GB of storage and a ComfortLight for easy reading in the dark, the Aura makes eBooks brilliantly readable.
Day and night Carta E Ink technology and Aura's ClarityScreen combine to provide a brilliant print on paper reading experience, even in direct sunlight. Not only is it beautiful to read from, but it also eliminates flashes between page turns, and features touch controls like pinch-to-zoom. The ComfortLight will help you read in the dark with an evenly illuminated front-light with gesture controlled brightness settings. ComfortLight doesn't shine bright lights in your eyes, making it much more comfortable to read than a traditional backlit screen.
Large library In the Kobo Book Store, you can find over 4 million of the best books and comics available for purchase. Aura is also compatible with a wide range of file types and with 4GB of internal storage you'll be able to keep a vast library with up to 3000 books on your device.
Adjustable pages Some of us prefer large font, while others are happy with tiny letter. Luckily the Aura will suit both types of readers, and all the in between ones, as it lets you choose from over 40 font sizes! To further improve your reading experience this handy device also gives you the option to select from 11 different font types.
Ideal for travel Aura is made to go everywhere with you. It's lightweight and packs a massive battery life so you can take it on long trips without it weighing you down or worrying about the battery running out.

Sad that there's no micro SD expansion to boost the memory. Otherwise I'd be sorely tempted.

I'm not sure that you need more than 3,000 books. I read about one hour every weekday for my commute and tend to get through 50-70 books in a year (depending on length). So if I loaded this up with 3,000 books, I could read 70 books a year for 42 years and 9 months before needed to get some more.

4GB is still a lot of books! I have never used an SD card on any of my eReaders and have always been fine.

WHSmith have just dropped their price to £79.99 (in fact, I have a tab open still that has the £99.99 price on it from this morning):
I'd rather have John Lewis's two year warranty, though.

Comes up at £99.99 for me.

Argos have also price matched @ £79.99 and don't forget they also have their £10 voucher for £100 spend available if you add on the extra £20.01 or more.
Kobo are great readers, especially if you use POCKET (Read It Later) for reading web articles, I have the Glo HD and the Aura One.

Having tried both, I much prefer Kobo to Kindles. The Aura Edition 2 doesn't have as high a resolution as some of the others, but I just don't think it's worth going over £100 for an eReader.

I wouldn't get too hung-up on the resolution unless you have super accurate eyesight or need/want to read tiny text, I can only notice any difference from the original Kobo Glo (265 dpi) to the Glo HD (300 dpi) if I use a magnifying glass, even then it's barely noticeable. A lower DPI should lead to slightly faster processing although I no longer have the Glo to be able to confirm this.

There's lots of other brands, Energy sistem currently has refurbs on their site at half price. I've got two models and both have been fine. Then there's Icarus, Boox, Boyue, Tolino, Inkbook all of which offer android based with buttons and micro sd slot. Icarus has a refurb section on its site too. Being android it means you can add books how you want so the folder structure is the same and you don't end up with books all jumbled as I did with my old kobo.

How would one get kindle book on here? Or is that not possible

Yes it's possible and not difficult, but you need a little tech knowledge and it's probably verboten to explain the exact method here.
On another and (naturally) completely unrelated note, Calibre is an excellent program for managing ebook collections in various formats, at least once you've got to grips with the admittedly unintuitive and messy interface.
