Anyone have any experience with this brand/model? Seems really affordable but not sure about the quality... Also: can get another tenner off at Argos: here

Makita make pretty good tools, I've had an 18v hammer drill from them for years and it's still going strong. It's taken a ton of abuse and done loads of work so I'd have no hesitation buying makita at all.

It'll be ok for light occasional DIY use but it won't be much good for drilling into serious brickwork or masonry I suspect. Good price for what it is.

Makita is probably one of the best and most reliable makes for power tools.
This drill is perfect for light use. Screwing wood together, hanging shelves etc...
Also, this is not a hammer drill. It is a combi drill with hammer action.
