I've tried a variety of these - non-backlit, backlit one-colour, one that illuminates in a variety of colours (you have to hit Fn+F2 usually to cycle through different colours)...some arrived with a brand name emblazoned on them, some didn't, but to me, they all seem much of a muchness.

Bottom right of image is the referenced "OTG + power pass through" cable providing one fullsize USB socket. That feeds the USB hub center left. Plugged into the USB hub's lower right port is a Logitech unifying receiver (enabling simultaneous use of multiple Logitech keyboards & mice), upper left port of the hub has a memory stick; lower left of the hub connects the LAN-to-USB adapter seen in the lower left of pic which provides a wired network connection.

I did not know you could do this! thank you for posting this as opens few doors for my setups.
Quick q is does the firestick handle the power load ok with the additional bits connected or will it suffer from overheating issues. will a powered usb hub help here?

The referenced OTG cable when used with the FSs standard PSU should be OK to simultaneously power USB keyboard / mice / LAN adapters which can all be regarded as low power consumption. If using with a portable disk drive (mechanical or SSD) it would be wise to introduce an external PSU for the accessories.

OP item has US keyboard layout that will confuse some users with different location of key (sic) keys. Consider similar backlit item with UK keyboard layout and a few pennies cheaper at £7.50 fullfiled Amazon amazon.co.uk/dp/…B8/

I use mine with a Kodi box and the layout has never been an issue - actually, I've never even noticed! Depends what you're using it for, I guess. Good price for those, though :smile:
Yours is from the same manufacturer, Liir, so I wonder if it will be UK layout? (Some Amazon sellers, especially when it's Chinese electronics, don't always upload accurate images - though that may be dependent on stock).
Looks like the one you've linkyed to above is just plain white backlit (which the one I use is - I think the red/green/blue colours are just a gimmick anyway).

That is probably a lot of hassle for a keyboard. Why didn't you just download the fire app for android or Apple and use your phone instead? Lot easier than all that

Wasn't aware the Fire App offered a mousepad facility, and the app certainly offers no option to facillitate local access to media on a USB memory stick, nor the reliability of a wired network.

I've got a Samsung TV and I've gambled and purchased one. It's Bluetooth so I see no reason why it shouldn't work.

I've got one of these (i've had a few micro k/m things) and the touch pad on this is awful. Typing is good (better than previous ones) but trying to accurately move the mouse cursor to links or files is frustrating and difficult. The mouse won't move, then it'll suddenly fling itself too far.
I'd give this one a miss, maybe spend a bit more on one with better feedback. Won't be buying again when this one breaks in a few months (as they always do).

I've tried a few of these (as I was tasked with setting up a few Kodi boxes for family members over months) - which is why I ended up trying different variants of these over time.
Tbh, apart from one that non-backlight version that absolutely refused to work (and another HUKDer had the same issues) - I've had no problems with them, nor have the recipients.
I do find that as the battery wears out some functions either behave erratically or stop working, easily sorted with a charge, but I've been pleased with mine?
Can't see moans in reviews about the touchpad in the OP (£7.99) version - though the "seven colours backlit" one at £6.99 does have a few grumbles about its touchpad.
(Wish HUKD would bring post #s back as it makes it easier for me to refer to older posts, bah).
The earlier picture AndyRoyd posted made me chuckle - now THAT's "determination" summed up in one photo!

I was happy with it at first, but noticed that the mouse accuracy was an issue with the keyboard. When the battery starts to go flat, yes, it becomes pretty much unusable. Plugging it in to charge instantly restores it back to its normal function.
So based on your experience, maybe give it a shot. It's only a few quid after all, so you can't expect an amazing product. But i'm the kind of person who'd rather spend a bit more to get a marginally better product. However, i'm not sure if there is a product out there that isn't more than double or triple the price of this that is only marginally better.
EDIT: Oh, it also randomly left-clicks things while moving the mouse around! so the mouse will shoot off in a direction and then left click. Seems to happen only when using the right-side of the touchpad. Difficult to replicate. Could also be another symptom of the battery getting flat, but it's a random issue, wheras the flat-battery behaviour is constant and always happens when it needs charging.

Just my opinion but I think these are all clones of each other - some HUKDers say go for this brand or that (with these gadgets) but I have randomly had some arrive with brand names on them (when the illustration has been blank), some without, yet they're pretty much the same, build quality and functionality-wise.
