Don't mind these, just people squeezing them in to their tiny 2/3 bed terraced garden p*ssing the neighbours off at night with the noise from the pump.

I know that was pretty obvious lol, just that I used to work in a pool/hot tub store in Canada, many years ago and they had everything. Hope you get sorted.

Hi, Lay-Z spa experts, I'm after a large O ring washer for the pump filter as mine is leaking. I've tried everywhere for it, including bestway and still no joy. Been b&q/screwfix, independent plumbing units, still nothing. Anyone have any ideas?

You could buy a cheap EPDM O-ring of the same cross-sectional diameter and length (diameter) and try to fit it. I've bought various O-rings off polymax.com before but there's loads of vendors you could try. Alternatively, you could make your own custom O-ring with some O-ring cord and glue.

Still can't work out where everyone's got this idea that hot tubs are some how chavvy... do these people not enjoy relaxing in one on holiday or in a spa? How does having one in your garden make you a chav? Possibly the old green eyed monster rearing it's head I guess...

How is the weight of this thing? Doesn't anyone know how much the rubber tub weighs and how much the "engine"?

I think not! Great for people who want a hot tub but are either on a budget or short of space hence posting. If too "chav" for you, skip along to the next hot tub deal

Very chav (and will take 6 kWH/day to heat).
Darzen to othen
12 Aug 17#7
How do work that one out ?
othen to Darzen
12 Aug 17#10
6 kWH is about the norm for these, in fact this one may well be quite a bit more as it doesn't really have any insulation. You will see that it is a 2 kW appliance, but of course there will be some sort of thermostatic control so it will not use 48 kWH/day (costing about £7) unless it is very cold indeed outside and it is left on. 6 kWH is still quite a lot (cost about £1/day).
BraddersB to othen
12 Aug 17#14
Now this is more helpful- thank you. Personally I don't feel £1 a day is too excessive for this though?

Nope not bad at all. We have the Vegas and this I presume will have a rather smaller water capacity so less to keep hot too. I didn't realise it was chavvy, best go down to town and get myself a shell suit too then. Who even uses the word Chav anymore!

If you don't think 28 quid a month is much even when your not using it then fair enough. I on the other hand wouldn't think much of spending over 300 quid a year on electric and chemicals for very limited use.

Do you honestly think that this sort of tub is going to be used that often?? I'm thinking it was designed for occasional use but that's just my opinion.

Thanks. Just ordered.
We have a Vegas but the pump is leaking slightly, and the lid and body keep deflating. Gonna sell it for spares.
There's only two of us and I like the idea that :
a) this is only 500L as opposed to 850L for the Vegas (presumably cheaper running costs then) b) the heater is the newer one, which will heat and do bubbles at the same time, and also has the timer function

Bargain! Cheapest I've ever seen this or any hot tub. Although it's a very niche tub I guess; it's smaller, fits absolutely no more than 2 people, and will likely feel more like a bath than an actual hot tub, you can't really move around in it at all. However it appears like it would be more relaxing than a round or square tub as it contours around your body. I'm over 6ft too so this would probably be a one-man tub for me! Plus it looks odd...
Cheers OP!

We have a Vegas and to maintain temperature it is around £1 per day with the insulated cover on it. Be prepared though for the initial heat up to take around 12hrs of constant heating. Also don't forget your water treatments (chlorine etc) which after initial fill-up needs to be left at least 12hrs before use.

Not a fan personally but hopefully someone will benefit.
