Who wants only fools and horses when it's still never off the TV.

I do, I prefer to watch episodes on my Ipad when I'm winding down for the night.

I agree, but also every time I put Gold on there's bloody adverts. Must be nice to watch OFAH uninterrupted.
As a wider point I think Sky is such a con. You pay all that money a month yet there's still constant adverts. Every channel I go to, bloody adverts.
I don't mind adverts if the platform is free, it's reasonable then, ie YouTube, but if you pay for something why should you on top of that still have to watch ads?
Sky are coining it in, subscriptions + advertising. And it's not exactly cheap either is it?
Sorry, rant over I wish they could introduce something where you pay an extra fiver a month, and you don't have to get adverts. They drive me insane. Like watching the same unfunny comedy sketch over and over.

iTunes prices are almost always the same or more expensive than Amazon. I've bought TV shows from both in the past (and from Google Play), but have now decided to consolidate future purchases with one provider. And having evaluated price and quality, Amazon is the best option in my experience. And Google is the worst! iTunes is somewhere in the middle of the two.

I really wouldn't personally but your choice obviously. What pricing you might find as "cheaper" on Amazon is made up for by the lack of bundle prices on box sets as well as the occasionally offer on iTunes vouchers. iTunes at least make the effort now to try and give a good set of extras on most movie releases, Amazon are really poor in this regard. Then there's the simple fact that iTunes is way ahead simply by virtue of a greater head start, so there's titles on iTunes available in HD that either aren't on Amazon, or if they are, are only in SD, like Hellboy for example. The one thing Amazon really had over iTunes was an indirect thing, in that of course by using an Apple TV you weren't able to make use of Amazon Prime, which isn't the case now going forward. Like I say, each to their own though. There's probably some good reasons why you would still prefer Amazon, I just can't think of too many right now. The single biggest reason to use iTunes or google Play over Amazon though is family sharing. If you can find anybody else who wants to, then you'll find both completely blow away Amazon. I use it massively with iTunes, and Amazon would be absolutely laughable in comparison. Basically ITunes and Google Play allow you to literally link your purchases with up to 5 other people's, your "family". Then anything that one of you purchases becomes part of the others library too. I buy a new film, and it means you've got it too for nothing. Visa versa. Do that on a regular basis and quickly you'll find Amazon is the most expensive by far

Thanks. That's a helpful analysis. Do you know what happens to Amazon Prime video purchases if you give up Prime? Can you still watch them?

Amazon Video purchases remain in your collection, available on any device that Amazon is available on regardless of whether you are subscribed to Prime or not.
You can always download iTunes purchases to a pc server, and play them when you want from there.
