I got this last year and was delicious especially for the price. Sorry got the date wrong it's actually the 24th of August, ready in time for the bank holiday so I am a bit early. Really is a bargain though

The Morrison ones are two steaks, thin cut and according to the review on mysupermarket they're "tastleless", so not like for like.

Unfortunately most suppliers don't state whether its barbarically slaughtered or not. In fact there was a outcry a couple years back to force suppliers to list where the meat has come from and if its religiously slaughtered or not. Cameron publicly said they will not do this.
After doing a little research i found that the code you supplied points to a company called ABP which are notoriously known to supply unlabeled halal lamb/sheep/mutton..etc. Although not documented, I suspect it'll likely be the same for the beef too.
Thanks for info but as a precaution I will give this one a miss.

Do you not have a sealer of some kind?
Else find some ziploc bags that are heat resistant (get as much air out as possible).
I'm guessing that the packaging isn't designed for Sous Vide and would possibly melt or at least effect the flavour of the meat.

I've had better steaks in Alberta (Alberta Beef) but had some very decent steaks in the USA to be fair. Not sure how much I'd like them (USDA) after seeing how the cattle are raised and whay they are injected with though....
Talking of South American steaks, when I lived in Hong Kong, the most expensive at the local steak house were USDA and then Argentinian and the cheapest were from Uraguay. I tried all of them and ended up just getting the steak from Uraguay as they all appeared to be pretty decent.

Is that the same chocolate they sell over here in the UK with the high cocoa content?
I've only been to Aldi in two states (Pennsylvania) near the Heshey chocolate vomit factory, which, actually smelled pretty decent as you drove past and another one in (Florida) Orlando at the UCF area.
I still think it's a very poor selection of products, compared to what I see at the local Aldi in Scotland.

This is a lot of rump for the money, best served medium expect. Not sure on country or origin and where its was slaughtered though.
In my experience, from New York to Paris usually the top steak on the menus of the top restaurants are source from the UK. Its quality that matters and its consistent high quality meat that is raised and slaughter in the UK.
Its the dealing with diseases that relate to cows that the UK has don't so well at that has given the market huge confidence, added to that wuality raising and slaughter process.
Kobe and Wagu style from Japan is popular, unique.
Plenty of US beef is just cattle raised on concrete hard standing, fed mixed feed, injected with antibiotics. Poor marbling and bland taste are synonymous with US beef products. Good for flavouring, which is of course prevalent from smoking to adding sauces or rubs too.

Just a bit of info about kobe and wagyu, as I hear a lot of incorrect info. Kobe beef comes from a breed of cattle called Wagyu. In order to earn the designation/appellation of "Kobe Beef", the Wagyu beef must come from Kobe, Japan, and meet rigid production standards imposed in that prefecture. I've had Wagyu from various countries as the cattle is exported. It is not necessarily very expensive or fantastic quality. Kobe (from the Wagyu cattle) is very expensive because of the strict production and location standards.
