Wow, this is ancient spec wise. It's pretty much the original Moto G. COLD.

Yes. A very odd decision for HTC to use the old Snapdragon 400. Still a better chipset than some of the current quad core mediateks though.
I wouldn't pay £90 for it.

For that price you can get a 1080p screen, 5.5" and 4GB ram and 50GB memory if you search on aliexpress. Not knocking your find as its great but personally I would get something else for that price.

Hi Im fairly new here in ( posting ) so please be nice. I don't mean to interrupt but my friend is looking for a HTC but sim free/unlocked as his current HTC has broken down. Shall he purchase this as OP mentioned or can anyone suggest a good HTC - on a tight budget so looking at £70 maximum. thank you in advance.

Probably obvious, but you'll be best looking second hand at that price.

Totally agree, something like the HTC M7 will blitz this.

How do you get this with no top up? And are unlock codes from eBay reliable? Thanks. Heat added.

Buy online and collect in-store. They provide a SIM with the phone but you don't have to top it up then and there, so don't.

You buy online, choose 10£ bundle tariff( it s just tariff name, you don't have to pay for top-up) and opt for home delivery

Look to buy your code from an "eBay Premium" seller & you shouldn't have any problems. You usually pay, send the IMEI number of the phone & the network it's locked too - then wait a few minutes or maybe hours & they send you the code & instructions via eBay message/ email.Done it a few times now & never had a problem.

Has anyone managed to get this phone unlocked?
I've tried a couple of sites on ebay but nobody seems to be able to get the the unlock code?
Any ideas?

Wotsits999 is it that they can't unlock the phone because your phone has a specific IMEI number .... it's in a IMEI number range that they can't unlock ??
