JL comes with ink worth £18, Ebay doesn't - John Lewis is far better value.

I got my 3634 version not dissimilar to this beginning of last month instore Tesco, Liverpool City center reduced from £49 to £15! Working fine most of the time had the odd hiccup were it wouldn't print wirelessly , just had to restart it! hotukdeals.com/dea…780
It's £24 instore in Tesco at the moment ! I brought it last week for that price

Cold. Inkjet printers should be given for free since the ink costs (and profits) are so high compared to laser printers.

Then do what I did and get the one with free ink for life, only 15 pages a month, but I do less than that anyway, it's 15 sheets too, not coverage so I just print out full a4 pix to use up the monthly allowance

It seems to be limited to certain HP printers, but have a look at the HP 3730 on PC Worlds site and there a pink "free printing for life" image. I was a bit sceptical, especially when the leaflets in the box mention nothing of it, but it was fine. Basically, you are offered something between 3-12months free ink depending on the printer, you can go on the top £8 per month package to print a couple of hundred, then when the offer ends, just drop to the £1.99 per month which will get you around 50 prints a month. HOWEVER, with this one, you can select FREE FOR LIFE (of the printer obviously), ONLY WHEN YOU SET UP, it seemed to suggest that you once you move off the plan, you 're off it (I guess to prevent abuse?).
Anyway, mines been faultless, compared to the crappy Epson it replaced, the quality is fine, its very quiet (and even has a quieter mode if the kids are in bed), but on top quality its slow, but who cares? The point is that its 15 sheets, be it one pixel or a full high quality A4 photo, that's one sheet, it does have to be connected to your internet so it can "talk" to HP and order the ink when it needs to (you don't order them yourself), but that's needed anyway to print wirelessly from a non wifi device. You have to give your credit card and they will charge all excess prints at 10p each, but even that's not exactly a rip off, I'm chuffed with it, now the kids are starting their GSCE's I'm expecting to maybe move up to the £1.99 package, but I think that's decent value too

Good deal, especially for an all in one with wireless scanner. Worth it for that alone.
