Damn no bell ringing events near me. I'll just have to keep playing knock down ginger on my neighbours. Will defo go to polesden lacey as that's normally a few quid!
There's some great stuff but wouldn't they be better doing it/one during the school holidays?

Nah, it's a 'grown up' thing, kids get to do lots of stuff.
Having looked at it, it's definitely not a kids thing.

My 2 year old loves Steam Engines, though to be fair most of the stuff is churches/libraries and the like.

I only really saw the churches etc, probably no steam engines my end of the world - which is lucky or I'd have to start lying to my Husband about them being on the site, lol.
Someone else said, great for teachers & children. Please, can we not just do something for adults?

Check locally - the main list is produced many months in advance and smaller volunteer groups won't have had time to enter their details
Bradford City Hall is open and free. Its a spectacular building with amazing history - lots of famous Bradfordians in portrait, lots of Heros (NOT superheros - its not Comicon!) - book signing with a local author detailing Bradfords Fire Brigade which was cutting edge in 1850s and based in City Hall so there may be a few surprises, Victorian cafe, police museum with loads of gory stuff and a visit round the cells where Houdini escaped from, the Spinners and Weavers as Bradford was made on wool..... Lots going on. Locally there is City Park and pool where you are encouraged to play in the fountains; the National Science and Media Museum which is also free to visit, plenty of places to eat, sit and park. Pack a picnic and its all FREE! Take a punt and get down
