These are flex head ratchet spanners, not just ratchet (Halfords fault not OP's). You'll wonder how you got on with ordinary ones once you've used these

Actually it was my mistake I knew they were the flexi ones as I have the fixed head set and fancied the flexi ones as well, thanks for the reminder.

The Halfords Advanced aka professional tools are top notch with a no quibble lifetime guarantee. Not quite Snap-on for the true pro but decent for the serious home DIY'er Halfords also do a poorer low quality range of tools for the budget buyers.

If I hadn't bought some from lidl albeit a smaller kit, I'd buy this. As someone said above... You will wonder what you did without it. Or more likely you will hardly ever need them but there will be that one awkwardly placed bolt when you have to get your car back together by next day and the shops are closed. Then you will rue the day you didn't buy this set. I've been there lol

My favourite use for this... Having to hold a hex key through the ring spanner bit to undo a strut. Stupid design. Found out there is such a thing as a ' pass through ratchet socket set' for this purpose. Stupid design!

Yeah, I was mulling over the 55 piece myself, but have the 90 piece form a few months back, I now have 5 socket sets and 2 ratchet spanner sets lol, all bought this year, I think I have a problem.

oh i want but i need to stop buying shiny stuff. i still have a 170 piece pro set that i havn't touched for over 3 years (or actually used for that matter).

What's the cheapest these have been , I'm thinking about these and the 3/8" socket set. But I'd rather wait for the 200 piece set to drop in price again.

Looking back I think £34 is about the cheapest, they were on offer before for £34 last year
