Hi Rachel - what on earth would one do in Corfu in December? From my experience of the island, virtually everything shuts down at the end of the season until Easter and it's relatively cold too, just about making it into the teens on a good day.

Ahem Rachel, is there even anything still open in October? I've always felt they can't wait to close once schools go back after the summer holidays and by the back-end of September they've gone?

I cant say, but I've read a few posts on TripAdvisor and it seems there is still things open such as bars and restaurants but these may be more geared up to the locals rather than touristd. It won't be busy which could be a plus or a minus, depending on how you like your holidays! I guess it depends on your interests, if you like to do your own thing and aren't bothered by it being quiet and not full of tourists I'd say go for it. The hotel will still have food, drink etc and as this is a package holiday, holidays are still being sold to Greece at this time.
I love Corfu , but not sure I'd want to go there in October

Went to Corfu the last week of October (half term) last year. Weather was lovely. Odd bit of rain on two days. Hotel was literally shutting down for the season as we left. Shouldn't have any problem for the first week in October (before the school half term). It's the start of rainy season and the mosquitoes are terrible. We got eaten alive (some of our group had 60 bites). I'd never go back so late but first week of Oct should be fine! Great price.
