If you have no money and want to play a game then yes a free game should be posted. Whether it was £50 at launch or free at launch its still worth sharing.
If someone and their family can get some free entertainment for a week then I make no apologies for posting because it's not a price drop. Call me old fashioned but free is a pretty good deal.

You seem to be missing the point. If it's free and always has been, then it's not a deal. Free is it's standard.
Plus there is a freebies section of this site where free stuff should be posted. So no - this is not a 'deal' it's a freebie.

It's in the freebies section :unamused:
Honestly, the pedants and entitled darlings on here are turning this site from a community of like-minded money-savers into minefield where good will is responsed to with hostility.
Down-vote if it's unplayable without in-game purchases but not for any other reason... please :innocent:

I've been a member for 9 years and this used to be a much better site. Too many behave like it's a competition not a place to maximise your money.
And yes I selected freebies and gaming as my categories not deals, but folks would rather get frothy and puffed up and start banging away. It's exactly this reason people hesitate to post.

I didn't say that it wasn't in the freebies section, I just pointed out that there is a freebies section for freebies. And the reason why there is a separate section for freebies is because these are not considered 'deals'.
If something's RRP was £50 and someone posted a 'deal' that was for that same product at £50, then that's not a 'deal' is it? Nor is something offered for free that is free as standard.
Again - if something is free as standard, then it being free is not a 'deal'. If it once cost money and now free... then that is a deal.
Also you don't down-vote something if it's unplayable because this isn't a review site. it's a site that measures how good a deal is and the up/down votes represent how good/bad said deal is. And at the risk of repeating myself - something free as standard being offered for free is not a good deal...its the standard.

That was the comment I replied to. The one where you very clearly state that this is " a pretty good deal."

Thanks, I will.
Okay, let's clear the air a little.
No one is saying that a free game can not be posted. Just pointing out the difference between posting something that is free, always has been free and always will be free as free and a proper deal. There are dozens of free games for the Xbox. There's even a page dedicated to all the free games available on the Microsoft store as well as the Xbox dashboard itself. You could just post a direct link to the entire catolog of free games as that would save some time. There are also 100s, 1000s of games that are free you can d'load for iOS and Android. None of these are deals.
Something being free that is offered as free is not a 'deal'. Something that had a RRP previously that's now being offered for free is a deal.
Let's look at it this way. This game has always been free - it's being posted as free. So the grand total being saved is 0%, nothing, zero, nada, zilch. So how is saving absolutely nothing a good 'deal'?
And that is what the voting system is used for. To show how good a deal is. Something free being offered for free is not a good deal in the same regard how something that costs £50 being offered for £50 is also not a good deal.
Is the free game good? That's completely objective and this is not a review site, so not relevant. This is a deal site and this is not a good deal.
