Got mine from Amazon on Prime day. Doesn't count steps if pushing a shopping trolley and counts steps in the car. The Fitbit Zip was a lot more accurate for steps. Also doesn't count incline if on a treadmill. I came to the conclusion although the Fitbit challenges were motivational the product is flawed. Sending mine back.

Yours is broke. I wish I could get mine to count steps in the car. It's the only way I could beat my step mum.
It uses air pressure so it can't work out incline on a treadmill. It isn't magic.

Not just mine. It can't count going up individual steps then. My treadmill has 15 inclines to the point it is like hiking a mountain edge. I expected as setting the Fitbit to treadmill the gyro to change angle as is my entire body walking in this way and use a different algorithm to calculate elevation. Not to mention heart rate is a lot faster over speed with an incline. It isn't magic it is change of use and program. Or perhaps add the percentage incline to the Fitbit which you can't. Anyway, I suggest anyone interested to go read the Facebook comments and see the countless people with the same issues. Everyone else must behappy with an 'average' result.

Were you holding onto the treadmill while walking? Or moving your hands :stuck_out_tongue:

My 2 cents. I've stuck with Fitbit through 3 generations and finally given up. I kept hoping newer versions would be more accurate and stuck with the company because all my pals had Fitbit too so we could compete.
I got this Fitbit at 50% due to a warranty issue with my Charge HR (peeling skin) and realised they've still done nothing to improve tracking.
Washing my car can give me 5,000 steps. Changing gears gives me steps. But push a pushchair round a shopping centre for an hour and I end up with 12 steps??
I've switched to Garmin now. A bit more pricey but at least I'm not sat here hoping for a future version to resolve my issues and I can also track my gym reps which I never had with Fitbit.
