I noticed I bought my tickets it states afterwards in the T&C's
"Under 10s can attend free of charge, however, this offer is limited to one child per ticket paying adult."
Pretty handy if the full price put you off going as a family, there are tickets still available (although selling FAST!). I purchased 2 x adult tickets for the Sunday afternoon at £12 each, I could take 2 kids meaning the afternoon would have a ticket cost of £6 each. Of course take your own food and drink because :astonished:
It's also worth noting "Under 18s are not permitted to play 18 rated games." but there is always plenty to do for them anyway. Most kids are so hyper anyway, just don't whisper "Dan TDM" near them
Hope this helps someone

Update: admin has added £6 to the title, as indeed you do need to pay to take an under 10 year old. Sorry admin!

First time at Eurogamer Expo?

My third! I live local and I don't fancy Insomnia, for £12 a pop the Sunday afternoon is the quietest time to go. Drinking lots of beer also helps

This will be my 7th visit. I used to attend the weekend events but the bloody kids drove me nuts! So I prefer going on a Thursday & Friday when the little sods are at school.

We like doing the Sunday afternoon only; it's cheaper and half empty with very little queuing, but yes the kids can be devils. We drink the beer and do the pew-pew. It's a shame I don't think there's anything coming out that tickles my fancy, but there might be a nice surprise in the indie section. Hope you enjoy... pew-pew!

First time taking my son, so I will be restricted to not playing the 18+ titles, which isn't many to be honest but I would of like to have a go on Wolfenstein 2.
We will be attending the Friday event, he doesn't know hes going yet :sunglasses:

Really tempted to make the trip this year, looking at the ticket availability I'd better get my skates on!

OK that £6 is really confusing. It's £12 each adult.

I've got tickets! Be my first time, think my friends bought them for all days, any ideas what to expect?

Expect very long queuing times.

Heard there was lots of queuing, got some fast track tickets, apparently that's still lots of queuing lol. A camping chair will be in order I take it? Or stool..

Fast track tickets only get you in earlier, doesn't grant you any speedy queuing times. Some lines go quicker then others just depends on how many systems they've got running the games.

Also a sleeping bag and plenty of food lol Yes a camping chair/stool will be an advantage because the queues in there are insane on almost everything. If you have someone to go with make sure you use that to your advantage for loo breaks etc because nothing worse than an hour queue just to need to pee just as it's your turn. Also they usually give out a ton of monster cans so grab a few on the way round.

I would expect long queues, high prices for food, lots of games and developer sessions. How I usually do it is I find the times of the dev sessions then work around what games I want to play. If your doing all 4 days you can spread out all the games if not prioritise anything you WANT to play first then if you have time then check out some others. Certain games will not have long queues but popular AAA titles definitely will. If/when the map comes out use it to work out where things are to help coordinate your time as best as you can. Hope that helps.

Went last year and I was pretty poor, felt like a Sony expo, nothing much from Xbox or Nintendo.
