It is a good price for this model,, however, I find Dyson massively overpriced generally. When you consider you can get a similar tool for £30.

I certainly think you can find an upright vacuum cleaner of similar quality to a Dyson for less money, but having used these and other cordless cleaners I'm yet to see anything as as good as these for less money than this. I stand to be corrected if it does exist.
These things are very useful.

I got one in a sale i can vacuum with my £60 upright hoover and go over it with my Dyson and it picks up a good amount. Its great for dog hairs and the stairs. I do have issues with it overheating and it won't charge, while at first it lifted my carpet with the suction after a few months it doesn't seem as good but still picks up more than my upright. I would buy another as i use it alot and find the size handy and easy to use.

I have one of these and it's superb. Very light and portable. Charges easily with the dock which keeps it out of the way. Make sure you clean the filters when required. I'm not so sure at all you can get anything of the same quality with regards to its performance for the same or less money, although to be fair I haven't tried all the options on the market and compared them all to this. I think this is a good deal. Heat.

VAX 32V handheld is every bit as good as this, and more powerful. Batteries on it last longer also.

Totally off Dyson. Bought many over the last 20 years, every one breaks down. I learned slowly and expensively, but will only buy Bosch or Miele now. I have the Vax cordless vac, which is better value than the Dyson.

Dysons are fine if they are serviced properly. Unfortunatly 99% of consumers treat them as "throwaway" items and the vast majority are never serviced before they end up in landfill.
Rather than spending £60 on a cheap Vax, use the same £60 to service your Dyson. Plenty of videos on youtube showing the original DC01's working as strongly as they were new after a service.

great price for this - I love my v6 absolute brilliant hand held vacuum but beware the charge is rubbish. I get a maximum 8 minutes charge from mine (since bought) - a bit frustrating should have got the V8 but couldn't justify spending £500 on a vacuum
