Get it before you need it, you never know when you might - also great for snooping second hand disk drives that were merely formatted and not properly erased

No future support is provided, so just use temp / disposable email service to receive download link. Example disposable email service at temp-mail.org/en/

Very simple software You cannot even choose the directory for files that can be retrieved. This involves scanning the entire disk or partition.
I suggest to the developer to go and see what RECUVA or EASEUS data recovery (freeware versions) do."

I found Recuva's results to be most disappointing and Easus free is limited to 2GB.
My standard and unscientific test being the "formatted disk recovery" - there may be better ways to do that

Use crystal disk info to see if the drive is in a good enough state to work on. If it is bad you want to copy everything onto another good drive using something like ddrescue. Then work on repairing corruption on the good cloned one. Working on bad disk will further reduce its life.
