Although the Netflix adapatation is getting panned at the moment (especially by fans of the comic/TV series) here is the entire collection as it was originally written.
Honestly, I've no idea what others think of it, but for sub £20 delivered this seems like a steal.
Note - this is pre-order since it's not due for release until next month.

Watch this because it's excellent and steer clear of the junk adaptation on Netflix.

This is the Manga book rather than the Anime Yes, the Anime is excellent, especially the first half. Second half took a bit of getting used to (can't go into details for fear of spoilers, but there was one moment that I still haven't 'got over' that happened in the first half) The new film aint bad, but it's just not a patch on the Anime; to be fair to them though it's impossible to fit 2400 pages into a 100 minute film.

Watch it. I'm sure it's still on Netflix as that's where I watched it a year ago. Leave it as the original audio and turn English subtitles on. The dubbed English audio isn't as good.

My main problem with the new film is they seemed to really rush it... Think it was like 75 minutes ? There was no need to have it that short other than budgeting maybe. They have enough material to have a really long epic film, the other one was two parts so probably over 3 hours. There was just no build up to anything and the characters just changed their emotions instantly. L found out who it was straight away pretty much and it lacked intrigue. Also, the ending... not to spoil anything but I was certain one of the rules is you can only control the last 40 seconds of their actions, this one was making them do stuff days in advance. I might be wrong about that it's been a while since I saw the originals

I actually quite liked the new 48 hour rule. Pity Netflix wasn't involved from the start, they may have made it into a series, which would've been more fitting.

The ending was (is) set up for the option of a 2nd film. I cannot disagree with anything you've said there. Would have been so much better to have made 12 x 1 hour episodes for season 1 and then 12 x 1 hour episodes for season 2 (with S1 ending at that mega death). They could have remained more faithful to the books/anime and explored characters a lot better. For me it's the relationship between L and Light that makes Death Note and that just didn't exist in this film.

Yes the second half of the series was a let down. The first half was ace.
Anyone seen the Asian version of the movie? How does it compare to the American counterpart?
Also the L dedicated movie was enjoyable.

Note that this doesn't seem to be a boxset but rather a single 2400 page paperback volume.

That was clear when manga was in the title, not anime

You can buy a boxset of the manga which contains the 13 books, obviously this is just a single book containing them all which might not be something everyone would enjoy holding when trying to read.

It looks like it would be incredibly hard to read...

It says a single tome! How would you hold that and try to read without getting tired?!
