Cracking Price. Enough cash left over to change the fans as well. Well worth the purchase for anyone about to build / replace.
If that's the case this is the one I use and it's great, must have for any Overclocked CPU (especially Skylake and Kayblake). Keeps the CPU very cool, though depends on your ambient temps.

Ah fair enough, yeah I wouldn't bother with the v1 these days. Also worth noting you may wish to get better fans like the Nocrutna fans as default ones suck and are loud at times.

I had the H100i GTX, But I had to send it back as one of the pipes poped out while I installed it into my motherboard (Was loose) so sent it back for a full refund! I think these have a long guarantee and I was just unlucky.........maybe!

Oh to use my Wraith Spire and limit my overclocking but look better. Wait for my Noctua D15 AM4 upgrade kit to arrive or finally go water cooling.
No fit problems in the Fractal R5. God I hate the 1st world choice problems this site poses for me.

I have the h80 and a skylake 6700k @ 4.6 barely raises the temps. I would say this is over doing it unless it's for a VGA card mod.

That's because you're not pushing your overclock that much. I can hit 4.8 on air with my 4790K.

I didn't overclock any further as it wasn't really required in my particular use case. It's just a gaming rig. No special workstation load.

You can't compare overclocking ability between generations like that really. Skylake is very different beast to Haswell.

Hmmm, I have been interested in the past in dabbling with closed loop coolers, but reading some reviews it seems the air cooler I currently have (Noctua NHD15) does about as good a job as this for cooling, but is a bit quieter

Yes, the NH D15 performs about the same as this (better if this is indeed only the v1), and has better fans (quieter). Only reason to change would be if you don't like the aesthetics of the big noctua cooler!

Hyper 212 evo but with Noctua fans is what I'm running. I rarely overclock as really there isn't any need to (benchmarks improve but benchmarks don't relate to in game performance past a point), overclocking is the only reason to go from a hyper 212 evo to liquid cooling and but even then you can overclock on a 212 evo a little.

Does that not depend on frame rates and cpu intensive games ie 1440p 144hz i know some games like bf1 max out all cores i i5 could bottle neck a 1080 ti at 1080p 200hz or even 1440p 144hz

No you need corsair.com/en-…ers however they may send you one for free. There is a metion they will send one free for a limited time but doesn't specify. Noctua are sending me one for my D15.

They are extremely loud, I had to change the fans on mine as it could be heard from the other room - actually sounds like a jet engine taking off. Not sure if I had a dodgy one (I had to return it as it wasn't cooling making my CPU clock up to 91 degrees) The radiator is massive as well so make sure you have enoug space at the top of your case! I had heard good things about it and may have just had a dud experience but thought it's worth mentioning

For those who are noise concious I'd recommend swapping out the stock coolers on any AIO,go for Noctua's NF series (good for static pressure) whilst running them through PWM on the motherboard or a seperate controller, set a desired fan curve to your preference depending on how loud you want them to go, i found @ 65% i could barely hear them yet they kept temps under 52* during heavy load, So i set this as my max fan speed.
The industrial fans are a better colour scheme than the normal biege brown, which is why I got them over the stand NFs
Same applies for CPU AIOs though.

Intel have been extremely scarce with the details on desktop coffee lake so far, so do not listen to anyone who says it definitely will or won't. The rumors point towards a 1151 v2 socket, so hopefully the bracket should fit from this and most coolers, but it's all speculation at the minute.

If you want no noise then don't hook the fans up to cpu temp, this isn't a cpu fan it's a liquid cooler. There is so much misformation about this out there best call corsair for the correct info which is to hook pump speed up to cpu temp. The slow flow absorbs low temps and high flow absorbs high temps efficiently and fans can run however quiet you like them as long as cool air is going over the grills it'll work great.

Have a 6700k at 4.6 none of my games bottlenecks my 1080 CPU usage was low however GPU was struggling, had to upgrade to 1080ti in the end. CPU usage still the same, framerates miles better, that's with additional quality settings.

Gaming at 4k looking to get a steady 60hz. For some reason my setup looks more jerky at 75hz, strange!

Test it first without installing it , remember also it's not pressurised so even if there's a leak it will be slow. Once it's up and running I don't think you'll have problems. Happy to advise if you want, just PM me.
