Popped in to Argos Clearance Bargains today and spotted they had halved the price of their Bikes. Making the Challenge Mountain Bike £39.99. Not the worlds best bike, but for forty quid!

Used to use something similar to this, then bought a 2nd hand cannondale for £100 for commuting - the huge gulf between the two is evident.
However this would be fine for casual / occasional use tho - especially at this price. So a good deal for the right use case scenario.

It's Walsall Argos Clearance Bargains (Not regular Argos stores, their outlet stores). There are 3 other Clearance Bargains. Stanley, Darlington and Corby. I'd imagine it would be the same deal in all 4.

Looks pretty awful but can't complain for £40. Shame it has front suspension as that will likely be terrible. Rigid forks would have been better.
