It's a pretty good deal for the total kit. Just the 700d is very old now. You are getting the free 50mm stm basically. It can be had on its own for 90 separately. I'd go for the newer 750d with lense and get the 50mm stm prime separately. It's a much better camera.

Yeah grey market pricing that is, I do agree a 750/60 is better but for the majority this offers a good package, given the 750 is more expensive at circa £600 body and the kit lens, pushing the price further. That is almost a 30% price boost, plus your down one lens retail value circa £120 and no SD card. The resolution bump is not worth it, there is no benefit in video either, for that you have to look to the 800D.

750D is £529 on there with £70 cash back and you can get the 50mm lens for just over £100 in a high street store. Personally I think that's a better deal, especially if you get John Lewis to price match on the camera for 2 year warranty (and can hover dicounted JL vouchers through work perks like I did).

I've had the 750d for about 18 months. It's a much better camera than the 700d. It has 19 cross type focus points compared to 9 on the 700d. It is higher resolution next gen sensor which is in the higher series of camera. It also has built in WiFi which allows you to control the camera with a smartphone and you can download and browse images on the camera on a tablet or smartphone. This means you can save money on remote shutters etc. And when travelling you can post edit pictures without a computer. For video the 750d comes with AF face tracking. Making video focus a lot better. The 700d is almost 5 years old now. When I bought my 450d a long time ago there were deals to be had on the 400d but the 450d was a step change better.
I bought the 750d from a Costco deal on here where the camera 18-55 STM kit lens and canon carry bag was £455.98. Canon had a 50 quid cash back bringing down to £405. Admittedly prices have gone up a bit but there are deals to be had if people search. Plus canon have £70 quid cashback on the 750d at the moment.

More than enough features on this camera for most owners, at least you are not being fobbed off with older lenses, good deal. I really like my 700D and won't be changing it anytime soon.

What are benefits of this over a 450d? That is my girlfriends current model and she complains it's rubbish (personally I think it's fine but don't know much about cameras). One of her main complaints about 450d is we haven't found a way to have a live viewfinder on the LCD display. Does this have this feature?
