Office Outlet has the Samsung M2026 for £34.99 and the Brother HL1212W for £49.99 (both mono laser printers).
Tried adding them as a Deal earlier, but was told they're an unsuitable merchant. Woops.
FYI: Pictures were taken yesterday afternoon, in the Baird Street, Glasgow store.

I know absolutely zilch about laser printers - but there's threads about both of these on HUKD (which I linkyed to when I tried adding a Deal about them/Office Outlet - which got wiped, as mentioned before)

This is a great printer for the money. It's also available from Tesco at £39 and Ryman for £39.99. Voted hot.

Yeah i bought this printer from PC World last week its a good piece of kit , Same price at Currys / PC World £39.99 delivered but bear in mind the usb cable is not included , no problem i used my old printers one , It came with a genuine toner that should last 1000 pages of A4 then you can get 2 x compatibles on ebay for £7.99 delivered so its cheap in the long run

Are there any other parts of a laser printer one needs to change over time besides the cartridge?

yes with brother you have to change the drum aswell

Normally its the toner and the imaging drum - always check how much compatables are before buying a printer

Lasers have 2 main parts to change: the toner cartridge and the drum. Brother tend to have them separate so just because the toner is empty doesn't mean you need to change the drum. Ideally the toner lasts around 5000 pages with the drum good for 20000 - 30000 pages as long as you have 'clean' paper (dust and grit free - you drop the new ream of paper on the floor bin it: ream of paper £3, replace a scratched drum £30) so limiting the changes of damaging the drum. Also most toner cartridges can be re-filled - the limiting factor is the size of the waste toner dump - 2 to 3 times. The U refill toner .co.uk site lists the best and easiest printers for refilling: but you have to buy a bottle of toner from them to get the low down how-to do it. On mine there is only a rubber bung to pull out. One word of warning laser toner is a very, very fine dust so refill outdoors with the wind behind you and not indoors over a pale carpet - if you think talcum powder is messy, toner is 10 times worse!!!!

If it is £39 at Tesco why is this a hot deal? I suspect it is a perfectly good printer, but many of these items are very cheap now (I use a wireless Ricoh that cost only £27 delivered).

I think that was someone's special offer about a year ago, but when I get a moment I'll find the email invoice for you.

I just found the invoice: the printer came from an eBay store called:
on 27/7/16 at a cost of £27.95 delivered. The company seems to be a general electronics store, I can't find the printer listed on its site today, but it might be worth dropping it an email to see if it anticipates having the item again.
The Ricoh is an excellent mono printer, and the replacement cartridges are not too expensive (from memory about £15 - not OEM).
I can't guarantee you will find the Ricoh at this price, but my point was that mono laser printers are really inexpensive.
Best wishes, A
