Brewdog cans 4 packs were marked down at the city centre Tesco metro in Glasgow. £5 for Elvis juice and £4.5 for Punk IPA. Usually see them for £7+ and £6 respectively.
Same price at Lincoln Extra, so would assume national.

Is that the small cans (330ml) of beer?
Why would peeps pay more money for less beer?
Do the sellers think giving it a fancy name and putting it in a shiny tin will convince drinkers it's value for money?
Beer, like Cola, is better served in a bottle. And, many bottles (500 - 720ml) of good beer are currently on offer in many stores whereupon peeps can get more beer for less money.

It's subjective and up to your own preferences but there's lots of reasons cans are better than bottles. After you pour it into a glass you won't know the difference. Although I like drinking from cans myself. As for size, at this price point it's just as good value as bottled for the ml amount and sometimes a 330ml is all I'm after. Plus the Elvis Juice is 6.5% I think. Cans vs bottles: taptrail.com/the…er/

Ah, for a minute there I thought the peeps selling bottles of 500 - 720ml were going to start selling cans of 330ml at the same price as the bottles, you know, like some peeps have noticed smaller bars/bags of chocolate and other goods being charged at the same price as previous bigger bars/bags etc, owing to a 'marketing ploy'.

Beer keeps better in a can, you then pour it into a glass to drink it.
It would appear to be identical - unless of course it's exposed to sunlight.
Cans certainly have their uses, but they'r far from perfect, many might remember the scares over aluminum in cans being linked with Alkzeimers - though studies haven't yet shown any definites, producers started coating the insides of the cans with plastic/polymer.
We know interactions between containers and contents can occur as Cola manufacturers have already accepted that polymer lined aluminum cans might absorb some of the flavour of the cola, and acetaldehyde in
plastic bottles could find it's way into cola, but whether this would be the same with other contents we don't yet know, but that's the point - we don't know.
I personally don't care too much about cans or bottles and am happy to drink from both, but this move to cans strikes me as a money saving option due to lower transport costs etc rather than a quality decision. Obviously manufacturers are aware many people prefer bottles (for whatever reason) and they know they have to come up with some convincing spiel to overcome that potential obstacle to sales.
All the above aside, I'd hate to think we're moving into a place where only overpriced small amounts of alcohol were on offer.

I believe one argument is that a can gives a superior seal and less oxygen in the vessel. But the advantages for the brewer are many so it's no surprise many prefer them. I can physically carry more beer if it's in cans than bottles and that's all that matters to me!

No, it's tryn2help, it's actually written right there next to my posts.
Joking aside, Sorry to have bugged your happiness, Moob, but my main point was peeps being ripped off by smart-assed marketing.
Peeps are struggling right, left and centre as costs rise and wages stagnate - the last thing we need is peeps being duped into thinking they're getting a great deal when the reality is they're falling victims to marketing tactics.
Fancy packaging and fancy names doesn't make this brew any more than it is - much the same as most, but it costs more to buy less.
The Op has managed to find it for less than usual - and for that reason this merits 'deal' status - and I give it heat accordingly, but I don't think there's any harm in voicing an opinion.

Yes, but your points have little relevance to this product.
Fact is no one else makes this beer, it has an unique flavour. This is the best price for it, hence the heat. HTH.

Yep, craft beer is over priced, but this is cheaper than it normally retails for (£1.50- £2 per can) so this is a good deal. Punk IPA is nice, :raised_hand: .

Tesco have various packs of Brewdog beers reduced both in store and online. As noted above, they are still an expensive alternative, but the prices are good if you like the drink:
