2.26Kg seems a bit heavy for a 2-in-1 unless they mean you can damage both you wrists with one tablet?

Wow! That's one amazing spec! The i7 seems to be 7th gen too.

Still dual core 15W so about 10% faster than the 15W i5.

Not 7th generation, it is 6th generation.

Surely this is not useful in tablet format? Must be so uncomfortable at that weight and 15.6".

Seems to be £1020 at Amazon (although I didn't compare specs side-by-side).

I'm guessing the 2-in-1 aspect is more for "tent mode" i.e. movie/tv/netflix watching, rather than actually using as a tablet. Still the spec is great for the price!

There's £75 cash back on site now as well as free antivirus

Very tempted to buy one but worried about reliability as never owned an Asus laptop before. Their CS hasn't got good reviews online so not so sure I wanna go there.

Looks like a bit of an oddity in the Zenbook line-up. The GT 940m and mechanical hard drive has really bulked up the chassis and added a kilo of weight. Seems like a step backwards compared to previous models.

COLD for me.
I'd rather get a XPS15 with Nvidia 1050 from outlet. Around £950-£1060 at the present time.

That's a good point actually. Forgot about that. Oh well. I guess we have Brexit to thank for these sky high prices these days...

Really struggling to see the reason for this. It's too in between. It's using the headline i7, when it's really an i5 in terms of performance. It's heavy for an ultrabook, but low end GPU. IMO this is a jack of all trades but a master of none. Personally I'd go one or the other.

The 512ssd + 2 tb hdd is a big plus for some though.

Too heavy. My MacBook 2011 weighs about the same. Find it too heavy.

It's an i7-7500u laptop which means it's 7th generation. Both Amazon and AO.com confirm this.

No big deal as not much better than 6th generation and still only a 15W dual core. Intel are releasing quad core for U series but not until Q4 of this year or later.

Did anyone buy this? I did not get the AO cash back offer, I emailed AO but was told it was not on

I didn't as I was concerned about reliability so I opted for a Dell refurb instead.

Hmm, that's very disappointing they refuse to admit the cash back offer was on for this product.
