So first impressions this is a bargain and good quality. However Just wondering if others are having the same issues I am having. When I tap or push the pads in from the sides when im using them there is a 'crinkle' sound likes its popping when I apply slight pressure to the cup.
Still able to listen to music and it produces really good balance sounds when not touching each cup.

I tested the range at work with some colleagues and the range was about 8/10m in an open space.
About the L/R volume, the R side has a higher volume and sounds fuller too. I just changed the balance on my laptop to fix this... not sure how it will work with a mobile as not all Android devices allow to change the balance as far as I'm aware :S.

i tested on an xps 9560 this morning and no issues, a good 8m range with the headphones. think there are some issues with the killer wifi module but not read any issues with the BT on the xps..

Great pair of cans but the range isn't what I expected, can't use them whilst in bed. The laptop is only a couple of metres away on my desk. Any ideas?

i also read about the left side louder issue in various comments and forums but that was when the headphones were first released. i thought they would have sorted out the quality issues by now 3-4 yrs down the line. been testing mine most of the afternoon/evening and they sound great..think theyre keepers

I ordered 2 pairs of these headphones. I got them delivered this morning. Both have sound issues, the left side is louder than the right side on both headphones. Looking on the internet this appears to be a common issue. I have just arranged for these to be replaced. Fingers crossed the new pairs do not have this issue

I had for these over a year, the battery died after the first year and returned them for my money back as they have a 2 year guarantee, amazing quality headphones, they are heavy for headphones and only have Bluetooth 3.0,I just bought the Bose qc25 instead, use them all the time as I fly a lot.

If you're going to buy these based on whathifi's review I would check other sites for them too. Whathifi seem to hand out 5 star reviews like candy at Halloween so they're probably taking a backhander from a few companies. 5 star suggests perfect, reviews do not read like they are!

Haven't heard the AKG but reviews are generally good. I seriously can't see them being a bad buy at £66 vs £250 - £300 for the Sony. The Sony's sound great but I felt the build was (relatively) poor for the price with a fair bit of creaking and lots of plastic. The AKG's are somewhat tank-like in comparison.
Just to muddy the waters even more, I've had a set of Sony MDR-1ABT since March 2016. They've been used daily and are still tip-top, despite their mainly plastic construction. Although I am incredibly careful with headphones. I wouldn't have paid the (then) typical price of £299 for them. I paid about £130 and felt they were great for the price.
In short, if I could justify these I'd snap them up.
