I don't think so. Just macbook range.

If you click on any iMac the offer doesn't show so just macbooks I think.

Because they're stupidly overpriced and repair cost out of warranty is near replacement cost

I assume you can pay this off as soon as it has arrived and close the account?

Exactly and if you where vat registered and could claim the VAT back you could get a £2700 laptop for around £1500. Obviously n/a to all but great deal for anyone in that position

considering this myself now purely because of this.

Are you on the Flat rate VAT scheme? Ordinarily you can't claim back the VAT if so, but I think there is a special rule if the expenditure is >£2k - which this is pre-discount
gsusx to finlay1888
7 Aug 17#42
ive just come off flat rate because of the changes they have made so I will be claiming this back without a doubt.

Still on flat rate myself..but accountant confirms all is good....so a 2017 MBP 15" for £1409, can't really knock it!

Very failed to honour a very similar deal a good while back, despite my complaints (numerous calls) and evidence they just ignored me !!. No longer a customer and won't be using them ever again. Just be warned in case they pull a similar stunt.

I had absolutely no problem with them on my recent iPhone 7 purchase. The 20% refund went into my account the day before they said it would, no problems at all.
Admittedly their call centre is a bit [email protected] when you ring them to check delivery times etc, but other than that it's been an absolutely breeze to buy and settle my credit with them.

Very did exactly the same to me. Failed to honour the promotion despite me receiving a letter from them, told me to prove it by sending them a copy of the letter, then just ignored me. Even my recorded letter to head office was ignored. Will never shop with them again.

Applied for an account and only got a £750 limit, you must have the full amount available in your Very account to get the offer.
gsusx to Densosupra
4 Aug 17#18
ahhhh I think I have the same limit.... does this mean it's not doable then ???
Densosupra to gsusx
4 Aug 17#25
Yep that means you can't do it. You must have a limit that covers the entire cost.
Also when the credit is applied is the 20% back only to be used on another Very purchase?
rollzy to Densosupra
4 Aug 17#26
No it can be used to pay off of your balance. I bought a macbook £1000 so when when the 20% is applied it will bring it down to £800 which I will then pay off in full.
bee888 to Densosupra
4 Aug 17#27
I think you can 'over pay the account' like with credit card limit, so you can purchase the £750+ item. I have a debit balance of +£4 as I overpaid the Sonos offer. Worked without problems in my case.

I've just spoken to Very Online Chat, and they tell me that you can still get the 20% credit, even if your credit limit is below the cost of the Macs. I was only offered £750, but I'm buying 2 Mac Pros at a cost of £2500 - they have confirmed that I'll receive a £500 credit in 45 days.
And yes, I have saved the Chat transcript!

Spoke to soon. The offer might be valid, but there is no BNPL option at checkout. I'm currently on hold to customer service to see if this can be fixed in any way. 28 minutes and counting
stutters to stutters
10 Aug 17#50
Very have confirmed that this is possible - you just need to credit your account in advance of making the purchase. In my case, I need to add £1750 to my account to enable the BNPL payment option for a £2500 purchase.

4 Aug 17#13
Also, do you have to be a new customer ???? is the 20% applied at checkout or a redemption like the last apple promo they did (which took a month to show on the account)
rollzy to gsusx

You haven't got to be a new customer. I.m not and I.ve took up this offer. Discount is applied by 12 th of September like previous very deals.

I've gone for the iMac....I have £1500 credit limit in my account but not sure why it is more than others. Regarding the Office 365, I don't believe it's free...but if the 20% comes off for this as well then it makes it £40 - which got so much heat on here as a deal. I've gone for this as well.

Could someone confirm for me... the cheapest iMac i5 8gb appears to be about retail price atm, Am I right? so -20% is a steal I guess.

It looks as though Very are offering this £100 cheaper than Apple BEFORE the 20% off. Yes a steal if they honour it. I've ordered it as mentioned above but I had to phone them as I wasn't set up for buy now pay later. Make sure this is activated as you could get stung. Mine is arriving tomorrow! Only ordered at 8am!

seldomly_subsisting
4 Aug 17#31
I think they are limiting new accounts to a £750 max spend so they can't take part in this offer. Great if you already have an account as the new 13 inch macbook with touchbar is £50 cheaper than Currys.
gsusx to seldomly_subsisting
4 Aug 17#32
so it would appear the whole process is a bit pointless .... or is it only new customers who are eligable ???
seldomly_subsisting to gsusx
4 Aug 17#35
No it's only possible if you have an account with a spend limit that will accommodate the price of the mac you want. I've used them before with similar buy now pay later and get X% off and they've always been good.
rs_tigerblade
4 Aug 17#33
Absolute scum bags that will rip you off anyway. They don't even honour their buy now pay later 0% most of the time. They have loads of tricks. Beware

Cracking deal, needed a new MacBook as I broke the screen on my 2013 model.
Just created a new account and got £3k limit, bought the 15" MacBook Pro for £2.7k on BNPL. Quidco tracked at £45 also.
Just hope I get the 20% back now!

A Very offer is like waiting for a Southern train or attending a Who concert in the 60s - it might happen as planned but there's a fair chance it won't.
This is a significant enough amount of money to risk losing, with the worse than futile experience of calling the Very customer service centre, that I'm not going to risk it.
That said, there are some good offers here although if you can snag the 10% off from Apple (student discount) and wait for the UK Beats headphone offer (assuming it will come), then sell the headphones and buy Apple Care on the student offer, that may turn out to be a better deal.

I've just ordered a 2017 MacBook Pro 13 / 8 / 256, which should hopefully arrive by Tuesday. For what it's worth, I've used the same kind of credit back offer to buy an iPad Pro and an iPad mini 4 from very in the past, and I've never had any issues. Slightly worrying to see bad experiences reported by other people though.

Hey,
Serously depends what you will be doing with it. Me personally, I have a Macbook 12" and it is probably my favorite laptop i've ever owned. I've had it about 15 months now and I love it. Good battery life, fantastic size and weight, would be ideal for a student. As long as you don't need to run anything like cad or video editing software i think you will be good. Honestly they are fantastic capable little machines !!!!

Has anybody bought a 15" Apple MacBook Pro (2017) with 512gb ssd from them using this offer yet?.
They are listing two Silver ones with identical spec which i think is an error, as one should be grey and one silver. (FYI, their customer service didnt have a clue what i was going on about! so they cant verify anything!)
So i did some checking and the manufactures part number for each is actually for the 256gb silver and grey versions. So i checked the MPN's for the 256gb models and they are for the 512gb specs!
I want a 512gb space grey one so don't know whether to just order the silver 512gb one which has the MPN for the 256gb grey and see what happens.
