I have to disagree with the general consensus on this. I find this paint too watery and need too many coats. Much prefer Leyland trade paint which can often be picked up two for £20. I know that is nearly double this price but worth it in paint used and time spent on coats

I used Leyland last time, great paint but this is worth a try

we have just used Wilco own emulsion paint and only needed 1 coat on walls. Their gloss (own brand) is good too.

Dulux aside, its the best emulsion paint I've ever used

Would go against the grain on this too. Very thin, needs multiple coats to truely cover a surface. Leyland is better and no doubt on offer with the new cat in a few weeks. Wilko stuff is made by Johnstone's I believe or at least it was a few years back.

I did my hallway with it. It;s held up very well, even on the lumpy plaster bits :P

very good. Last weekend used 30 litres of it. Was very thick. In fact had to water it down to gte the Wagner Airless sprayer to use it. Very happy with the coverage. Picked up the 3 10 litre tubs when it was 3 for £60 a while back.

Who still paints in Magnolia in 2017?
Every developer in the developed world has moved to one of the many shades of white.

Judging by Rightmoves rental properties, I would say 90% of landlords do. They must be keeping the magnolia in business.

its cheap and presumably holds up better than just white albeit white looks better

Would be interested in the correlation of magnolia painters and defaults in the next 5 years.
My money would be on a positive.

Can anybody recommend any good primer for preparing the walls for painting after skimming?
Thank you

Any other cheap white paint to use as a primer? It will take me a while until I to get to the point of giving the final coats to my walls.

Stick with Leyland. Best paint for the price.

I'm trying to get Pure brilliant white silk ( pretty dark rooms so figured silk would give more light reflection ? ) but need it cheap and delivered ... not hving much luck on decent prices and at a loss as to what brands better than the next. So would welcome any advice ? Thanks
