I realise this won't be for everyone, but it's not a bad deal considering flights sometimes are around this much direct.
This holiday is leaving Manchester on December 4th 2017 for two weeks, staying at So My Resorts India, Goa, Calangute. There are other hotels if you want to spend abit more.
Includes return direct flights, 20kg, hotel and transfers on a BB basis.
Hope this helps someone who may have been thinking about a holiday to India December time.

Great deal but don't forget the visa - which can be difficult for some professions especially.

Calangute? What a hole! Personally I'd much rather avoid places like this and Baga and head up or down the coast sorting out accommodation separately.
If you like being surrounded by big groups of package holiday tourists, big groups of young Indian guys on a week long bender or noisy Indian families, then go for it! I love Indian people but hate them when they're on holiday!

Totally agree, absolute shyte hole, rubbish everywhere, dirty dusty roads, no proper pavements, filthy beach, swarming with idiots on holiday from Mumbai. Only thing going for it is cheap food and drink

Go a few miles north to Vagator, good beaches, no package holiday crowd, a lot more laid back and almost as easy to get to

Is Goa safe for women or is it the same as everywhere else in India?

Are children and women safer in UK with all the abuse/domestic violence that has been going round us ?

I've been to Goa twice and always felt safe. As above though I'd avoid North Goa and stick to the South. The North is very "package holiday". I spent several months in Agonda and Patnem and they were truly lovely places. Very laid back and friendly.

Goa is very westernized and safe, best place you will visit. Lots of beach parties etc

Avoid India at any cost. Famous for exploiting foreign tourists financially. Everything expensive than UK. Foreigners should pay lot more than locals for attractions. Unsafe driving. Very bad roads. No ambulance service. Lots of mosquitos. Corrupted police and bureaucracy. No proper health care. Staring locals. Travel at your risk.

Regular Return Flights LHR - GOI are normally between GBP 380 to 460 pp on Oman Air / Air India / Jet Airways. Qatar Airways also flies to goa but is normally expensive. Hotels in Goa are not as expensive. Make your own package. Will work out cheaper. Better flexibility and luggage allowance. Not locked to Thomas Cook and charter flights.

Avoid India at any cost. Racists and abusive people. The world has better places to go.

This is an amazing deal. Calangute isn't the best part of Goa but it is okay and you can get to anywhere you want on a relatively cheap budget.
I can only echo the comment above about factoring visas into your holiday costs.
It is a safe place to be. Some people really will moan about anything on this website.

Kerala is less touristy and less crowded that Goa.
Goa packages are expensive in general. This deal is definitely cheaper and calangute and bagha are most happening places mostly filled with Indian crowds. I stayed in sea coin hotel in less crowded part of goa with beach next to the hotel, very decent and economical. The food at the hotel restaurant was great and had hired taxi/bike to travel to places. Goa is one of the best tourist locations in India considered safe as the main income is tourism. Saw some of the negative comments above and in any famous tourist location you can get into trouble if you are not careful and the incidents that occurred has such similarities of taking drug late night with strangers in unfamiliar places etc. We have also seen such cases in other famous places e.g. Thailand, still many go there and come back without any issues. Be wary of the known trouble spots and you will be safe and take it easy lifestyle is the southern part with great food and nice locals is something you will enjoy.
