Good specs and even band 20. It's a pre-order as it's not released until next week it seems. Not sure how long the deal is for but maybe wait until it's released and get some reviews first?

With respect to OP, the MALI-T720 MP2 GPU is pretty slow. You'd be better off with the Xiaomi Redmi note 4 for the same price, if you don't mind slumming it with only 3GB of RAM and half the storage.
From the benchmarks, it looks like the Redmi has between 2-3 times the graphical performance of the UMI.
If 64GB is iimportant to you, maybe have a look at the ZUK Z1 for around 100 quid? Snapdragon 801 on that one but 'only' 3GB RAM. Quite an old design now though..Almost 50k on antutu...
is there any support for this device in the UK. As the lack of support for when chinese phones go wrong is the biggest problem.

It will play everything currently available on android today perfectly well with no issues. Next time just lead with that and end with that because thats all anyone needs to know, benchmarks dont mean jack in the real world.

Thanks, but I prefer to provide evidence for my assertions so people can make their own minds up. Benchmarks, especially when I provided multiple ones; e.g. antutu and 3d mark etc. show the difference between these two chipsets perfectly adequately.
Some of the gaming benchmarks also list the fps of specific games, to provide a direct comparison, so I'm not sure how that kind of information 'means jack'.
So I'll keep on putting a bit of effort in to find out about stuff and actually be helpful and you can do your bit by not presuming to tell me how to present my opinions.

My evidence is having owned a device with a mali t-720 gpu and it played everything i threw at it. You can very rarely adjust graphics performance on android games so quoting benchmarks proving you can get a better gpu that wont do anything more for you or anyone else is pointless. Benchmarks are not representative of real world performance and not evidence and is not proof of the difference between 2 gpus. Real world gaming performance is what does this so keep that in mind before throwing your worthless opinion out to people looking for a new device. You put no such effort in, googling for some benchmarks is neither helpful nor useful it does not tell the end user anything about the potential performance of that gpu while they use it in the real world, im aware some benchmark sites do that, thats because they recognise the need for such things its too bad you couldnt be bothered to provide that information which would actually have been relevant.
Plenty more videos out there showing this gpu running the latest and or most demanding games on the market without issues thats proof not a benchmark.

Well, I own a device with a T760 mp2, which performs a little better than the T720 and I can tell you that it certainly doesn't play everything that I throw at it at great frame rates. Games like MKX and other heavy 3D titles lag quite poorly at 1080p.
If you actually went down the pages a bit on those benchmarks, you'd find that it provides average fps values for actual games like "Dead Trigger 2", which indicate 47fps vs 35 on the Mali, so that's pretty representative.
Both phones are also too new and perhaps not mainstream enough for review sites to have tested both these devices with unified gaming test that include all the relevant details. Most reviews are just youtube vids that give you just a flavour of how they play. Since there's no real fact in that, I didn't include them.
I'm not sure that what the San Andreas video was proving either, as it doesn't show fps or mention if the resolution is 720 or 1080 or what CPU was attached. Moreover if you look at the footage around 0:46 - 0:55 then you can see that it's running like ass, maybe 12fps. So, not the best evidence to prove how good it is.
There are other factors like this SoC uses 28nm process instead of 14nm of the Redmi, so you've got power consumption and heating issues too. The mali T7xx GPUs were well known to throttle badly with extended gaming due to heating. My own T760 does that in spades.
If your evidence is "I had a phone with it once and it ran gud" plus a janky youtube video with no details then good luck to you with that way of living your life.

Lol so someone should pay more for a device with a slightly better gpu so they can go from a perfectly playable 35fps to 47fps... As far as im concerned 30fps is all you would EVER need on a mobile device, theres no way you are going to notice more than that on such a small screen. Im quite certain mortal kombat x is the only game that it wont run very well but some how i dont really think anyone cares.
The fps isnt relevant this isnt PC gaming, what you should be looking at is it is playing the game without any stuttering making it a perfectly adequate gpu something that seems to be going over your head all too often.
So i own an elephone p6000(no it never got hot) and everything plays perfectly fine but im doing life wrong because i believe what i see? Did you receive a sharp blow to the back of the head at some point in your life?

I think we can all agree that if you're wanting to play games on a phone for the next couple of years, this probably isn't the phone for you. However, for someone like my mum, who I've ordered this phone for, it's fantastic. Decent screen and storage is all she's after. It's processor isn't amazing, it's not USB C and it's pre-order. But for the money, I think it's a very good deal

Adreno 506 benchmarks.
Mali T720 MP2 benchmarks.
The Antutu scores between both devices also show a marked difference:
UMI scores around 40K.
Xiaomi scores around 85K.
