This has been on before for just over £20 with voucher codes. Last few posts over years have been hot, but experienced people saying stay away. It's tempting even at this price but I will hold off!

Cheap and probably made from the metallic equivalent of processed cheese. And you'll probably never use any of the imperial sizes so why buy them?
There is a great deal On a Halfords 64pc socket set at the moment - £35 and guaranteed for life.
Spend the other fiver on a screwdriver set from Lidl.
I never count driver bits as pcs in a socket set as they are disposable.
I'd just avoid.

It's cheap nasty tools. I would advise you to wait and get a halfords deal as they often have their professional range in a sale, yes it will be more than this deal BUT it will be 1000% better quality and comes with a life time guarantee. The professional range is next as good as snap on tools with its life time guarantee but only half the price of snap on.
Minus the driver bits it's c.50 piece socket of genuine quality.

Would make a great gift for the son-in-law and prevent him borrowing my tools

No, it wouldn't. They'll be worn down or outright split/broke/snapped in 5 minutes and he'll be back borrowing yours again. Unless you don't like your SIL in which case they will be perfect.

I bought for (I think) £27 last year at some point. Probably worth it at that if you're just an amateur DIYer. You'd be mad to pay £99

That ratchet looks like the crap plastic top ones, which bust if you apply any real force instantly bust.
So odds on the sockets will round off too.
