Totally agree, Sanford is a much better airport being smaller than Orlando International, shame Thomsons don't fly there year round :disappointed:

No. It's not much further. Probably around another half an hour or so but Orlando airport is a lot slower to get through on arrival which more than makes up the difference.

Sanford to iDrive can be be around a hours transfer, but as above poster said your clear customs in 10-15m as opposed to MCO where i have had a wait upto 2 hours before - normally around 45-60m tho.

Just flown to/from Sanford on the Dreamliner, jetlag almost none existent! I can't believe it, worth the money just for that! fab aircraft wth excellent legroom in economy, better than Virgin earlier in year. Good food & inflight entertainment okay. However, Sanford airport is bit of a dump and further out than MCO, Thomson are the last UK airline to fly this route but for the money can't grumble.
