A good price for 2kg of beans. Works out @8.50/kg.

Good price for those beans, so heat (obviously!) - never really liked them though, and they were on the C4 ultimate food programme a couple of weeks ago, and didn't fare well there either.

I watched that too; I was surprised how popular the beans are. I find you need to grind a little more than normal to get the taste just right. I wouldn't pay full price

Free delivery to Ireland too. I wasn't expecting that.

Lazy Sunday it's not good name for a coffee. Why this one is so expensive?

2x 1KG beans, probably roasted 6 months ago, will sit in your cupboard for another 3 months and will taste nothing like fresh coffee.
Order some Rave Coffee (from Amazon), should have been roasted a few weeks ago, will taste fresh and is a much nicer cup!
That said, voted hot for price alone, especially if you share the second bag with someone else.

2kg of beans doesn't last 2 weeks in our house. What are you advocating mate? Roasting your own beans?

I live just down the road from Rave. I go down there and get it on the same day that it's roasted. Coffee doesn't come much fresher than that. I'd also recommend giving Rave or any independent coffee roasters a try. You'll definitely taste the difference over beans bought from the supermarket.

That your coffee won't be as fresh as it should be.
Do you also enjoy stale bread? I tend to buy that as fresh as I can too, it tastes better. Getting 10 stale loaves doesn't make it taste any better, it just means I have more ****ty sandwiches before I can enjoy a fresh one.
YMMV

Yes I enjoy stale bread. What a perfect analogy.

Glad you understood the concept after some help.

Agree with all of the above re buying beans as freshly roasted as possible. I've tried many and had a few subscriptions to coffee bean companies. Not tried Rave so thanks for the tip. These beans are put in my bean to cup machine for when the in-laws visit
