Sonic Forces is an upcoming platform video game developed by Sonic Team and published by Sega for Microsoft Windows, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. An installment in the Sonic the Hedgehog series, the game was produced in commemoration of the series' 25th anniversary.
Sonic Forces follows Sonic the Hedgehog as he leads a resistance force against Doctor Eggman, who has taken over the world with the help of his robot army and a mysterious new villain known as Infinite. Gameplay is similar to Sonic Generations with players controlling "Classic" and "Modern" versions of the titular character; the former plays from a 2.5D side-scrolling view reminiscent of the original Sonic games on the Sega Genesis, while the latter uses three-dimensional gameplay similar to Sonic Unleashed and Sonic Colors. In addition to the two Sonics, Sonic Forces also introduces a third gameplay mode featuring the "Custom Hero", the player's own created character. It is scheduled for a worldwide release in late 2017.

Looking forward to Sonic Mania. Tbh I am a bit weary of games that release cheap. Seems like a trap.

Sonic games have never been full price recently. Generations launched at £29.99 and that was great, this looks like Generations 2, which is fine by me!

Would be tempted by this for Switch but have three pre-orders and a couple of games not even started yet. Maybe later.

I can't wait for Sonic Mania - ordered it from PSS last month. This I'm not too sure about, 3D Sonic games tend to be a bit crap really.

It couldn't possibly be any worse than Sonic 4 - paying to download parts 1 and 2 of that mess was like burning a £20 note.

Generations was awesome. Will wait for the reviews on this one. Sega don't have the best record lately.

Puyo Puyo Tetris was great, Yakuza 0 was great, Total War Warhammer was a lot of fun, Endless Space 2 was great too plus the Vanquish and Bayonetta ports were pretty good. I don't know where you're coming from with Sega being bad of late. Aside from Sega Forever being a bit of a **** up they've been putting out great games over the past 2 years or so.
